Could be a lot worse - remember, its quite possible that Katsanos will be anchoring sky's coverage.

Not too dissapointed with that. Happy I have freeview, but still might invest in getting sport channels for the two months?

Why not Miles Davis?  Or is he TV3?

Miles is quite funny.  I remember listening to him on radio, can't remember the actual topic but he mentioned that when David Beckham was growing up in east London he was a Man Utd fan.  Then Miles said something like "...what kind of father is David's dad, allowing his son to be a Man Utd fan!  He should be dragged out & shot!"

I would imagine so - they did last time, even set up a special channel for it (The start of SS3?)

Correct, pretty sure he's 'leading' one of the 'celebrity' tour packages

Why not find a Kiwi who actually knows something about local football?  There are actually quite a lot of them out there.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Gordon Glen-Watson was superb as comments man on the O-League commentary the other day.

Stu Jacobs would do a decent job as a comments man I reckon.

Luc Trani would also be quality.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Cool. Better than nothing as I don't have Sky.

Miles is alright. Used to always have a chat with my dad at the aftermatch at Kingz games back in the day. Always seemed like a decent bloke.

Three for me, and two for them.

For live kick-off times, just go to FIFA's site.

Or download the encyclopaedia spreadsheet that includes a timezone converter, and is pre-set to the NZ timezone:

wow,

11:30pm is a really decent time. I think i'll force myself to go to sleep at 6, wake up at 11 and watch the game after the AW's too.

Are the teams in the same groups played on the same day? I thought this happened in 06, not sure though. Im probably wrong..

Will the World Cup games be streamed on the TVNZ website like the 2008 Olympics were?

Not necessarily - that's the result of having 3 games in a day in the group stages.
