Less than 12 ours to go for the first game and tv 1 sports news did not even mention about the game.

I was talking to Willie Lose , now a rugby commentator former Tongan International and he was even getting up to cheer the boys on and those right stuck up little weiner oner operators at TVNZ

Load of Bollocks.

Sent an email to TVNZ, also called TVNZ Customer Service. Was greeted by a young lady who palmed me off to the Broadcasting Standards Authority. Needless to say they were chocker with calls already. Cop out.

TV1 Sports news went something like this:
 
  1. 7's and Golf at the Olympics in 2016
  2. NPC
  3. ruben wiki playing in a charity game for tsunami
  4. Netball
  5. Indycars
  6. Bathurst
  7. buildup for Hawaii Ironman
  8. Handball!!! (no kidding)

I didn't watch the earlier part of news so not sure whether there was a story there??

Beautiful, I watched the first part of the news and then the sports, nothing at all. Wrote a pathetic angry email to that address, I hope someone gets anrgy

Was bloody awful that. Rugby I can understand given this is NZ, but Handball? Handball?

There would not be another country in the WORLD that is in the final home-and-away stage of qualifying for THE World Cup that does not have the game mentioned on national news less than 12 hours before kick-off, and does not have a TV crew attend the match. Why are "we" so pathetic when it comes to covering football? I also sent an email in anger, but to what effect? TVNZ has a netball crew in England for another non-series, but not football.

Hi guys, don't despair over the titanic TVNZ! TVNZ is the new te reo national channel. Get even and sink TVNZ by making it irrelevant. Most peopel know of the important away and home matches between Bahrain and NZ. Just make sure that you put your money why yoru mouth is and purchase your tickets and be there at the Caketin on 14 Nov, rain or shine or windy or even snow!!

Was watching the rugby for a few minutes earlier (Waikato game I think?) and the commentator mentioned the All Whites game and how even rugby fans would be getting up to watch...

I was p----d off too, neither tv1 or tv3 mentioned it, but prime news did at 5-30. Good on them.

Did it not lead say during the general news? And thus not be in sport? This surely can be the only possible reason.
