According to a Sky ad I saw a few days ago, this month (or next month?) they'll be televising the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Is that a mistake? I know there's an U-17 WC sometime in the foreseeable future, but as far as I know no U-20 one.

Yep, you did see right, mate- the FIFA U-20 World Cup is on in Egypt between September 25- October 16 and several games will be on Sky.
Big shame we didn't qualify- mighty Tahiti will be carrying the flag for Oceania- and they've drawn the "group of death" with Spain, Nigeria and Venezuela. Last time an Oceania team (i.e. NZ) played in a FIFA tournie in Egypt our u-17's were thrashed 13-0 by Spain- so maybe just as well our u-20s didn't qualify (let Tahiti take a pasting instead?).

The FIFA U-17 World Cup follows this between October 24 - November 15 in Nigeria- this time with our boys participating in a group with Turkey, Costa Rica and Burkina Faso. Obviously, quite a good draw for our lads with some hope of getting as result or two- and probably our best hope ever of making the second round in a FIFA tournie. No doubt, this will also be on Sky.
