Bullsh*t. No professional footballer should be overweight.

However, can I ask if any similar comments made about NZ players, I can think of one goalkeeper in particular as an example, will be moderated? Or if similar comments made about members of this forum, for example, would be moderated?
yeah but she's a girl, Jag - she can't handle it like men can

Well that was heartbreaking

Still, Kiwis did bloody well, that was a perfomance to be proud of. Bring on the next tourney.

Ah ha! That's what it is. Thanks for clearing that up, Cosimo. It gladdens my heart to see there's no hypocrisy, double standards or sexism on this site.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Gladdens? Do you mean Warms?

Three for me, and two for them.

regarding the result - I think someone has put a curse on NZ football. The equaliser was always gonna happen. Let's find the person who created the curse and burn him/her.

I know what I mean!

From Freedictionary.com:

Verb 1. gladden - make glad or happy
         2. gladden - become glad or happy

Did we forget to pay off a witch doctor in 1982 or something?

U-20 and U-17's next year.  U-20's in Egypt, qualifiers in the next few weeks.

Should see the NZ squad announced soon I imagine unless I missed it.

Awesome.  Keen to see them on TV.  Don't know if our boys will have a heap of support over in Nigeria but lets hope they can make us proud like the girls have.

She's not professional by the way. But I'm sure she's heard it a lot worse on the schoolground than what was posted on this site.

Bit unlucky the result but there was a gut feeling haha... because we were under the crunch... we always concede in the death.

certainly unlucky to concede at that point of the match (but a perfectly placed shot), but to be honest I really don't think we did enough over the 90 minutes to warrant a victory.

Even before the sending off, we were just camped in our own half, which was a disappointment since I didn't really think England were that good - they certainly only started dominating once we'd dropped deep.

Given our outlook, I still can't figure out why we didn't make the third substitution - we were making no attempt to get forward, so why not throw on another defender?  Or did Herdman just freeze late on? (which some of his comments suggest he might have)

I would guess he never made the 3rd change as it would have been a death sentence if they had then lost another player due to injury (charlotte and 1 other i remember had minor issues). They would have had no subs left if someone had to go off and wouldnt have held off with 9
