For anyone not working and wanting some football the U20s play Wellington College's 1st XI at 3pm at Endeavour Park in Whitby.

Could be worth a look even though it's likely to be a little one sided.

Smithy.

Fever correspondent reports that after 20 minutes it's 2-0 to the National Team and the College Boys have yet to touch the ball.

Yes:

U20s: Men
Wellington College: Boys.

6-0 (or more) the final score.  My correspondent stopped texting me updates.  He probably got bored.

Squad camp on this week.  Presume it's just a chance for Stu to keep in touch with them.

A number of the 23s are also in camp with them.

The U20s have OFC qualifiers in Tahiti in September, which have as their prize a place in the 2009 U20 World Cup Finals in Egypt.

Oh yeah, I forgot the U20's and U17 world cups are not ever 4 years.

That is a great opportunity for youngsters in NZ to know they have so many chances to play at a world cup. So might keep the decent players in the game longer with some short term motivations, that could lead onto other things

If we build it, they will come...

U-20's won 2-1 I think. Not sure what level Mirimar team it was, and couldn't tell you much else about the game sorry.

It was Miramar's 1st team without TW players but including "I thought you were signing for Wests" Cole Tinkler.
