OK, so its a month away... but its the only football I'll be in NZ for this year. Who's hitting the Vanuatu game at the RoF? Everyone going for the Fever Zone, or all over the show? I'm just wondering where to get my tickets so we can make the most noise! (Though I make good noise on my own).

I need this game to get my mind off visagate.

I'll be there, and I'll even leave my Australian upbringing at home  Hoping to drag some buddies along too.

If you've got Facebook, I made an event for the match @ http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=7094882115

I think they should make blue the home strip - especially as I saw Murry Deaker? or some old rugby fart on tv try to brow beat Ricki into scrapping blue in favour of the old funereal. Ricki humoured him wonderfully well.

Plan is the Zone... a few plans in the wings, some hi-jacked a little by the on-going political fights and the idiots who infected the Zone on Sunday.

Keep an eye out for an increase in profile in the coming weeks.

That price is... um... 'challenging'

In what sense?  Do you mean in terms of the quality of the opposition?  I would have thought that given the venue the cost was reasonable - I doubt using the stadium comes cheap.

No, I would think not, but as the last time the AW's played at home it was $10 or $12 it's a bit of a climb.

I see what you mean.  Given the Sydney game on the 17th, and it being a midweek match, the prices may mean the crowd is pretty small.

Yes, that is my concern... how many t-shirts should we get made for it, important questions like that...

I doubt I'll get a pass to this one.  Four days after Sydney and 9 days before the double-header.  One to watch on the new big screen TV.

But then again I guess our cash strapped organisation needs to make every cent it possibly can.

Particularly with a relatively early start at 6pm it might have been possible to drum up business with local schools.  Send out All Whites and Phoenix boys to promote the match.  Future of the game and all that.

I fall into the 10 buker category with my phoenix id but that means i can afford to buy a NZ scarf

the prices should be more like the Phoenix preseason games. $27 to see whoever we play from the pacific is rough, when the play offs come and we play oz or iraq or whoever then tickets can be 30 bux or whatever

is anybody else dissapointed with the promotion? have not seen anything around town or heard anything on the radio. you would think that nz soccer would be trying to ride the phoenix support and get as many along as possible but that seems to be lacking

If you want more posters to put up send a PM to 12345.

Capital Soccer are doing what they can, but the silence from NZS towers is a concern.  maybe they will fire up next week when the NZFC opener is gone ?

Anyone think that:

a) Marius looks like a Nonce in that picture.

b) NZF are not serious about hosting games in Wellington and would actually be quite happy if nobody turned up, because then they wouldn't have to do it again ever?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I agree with you 100%, I think the NZF would be far happier playing this game in front of nobody in Auckland than down here in Wellington. If less than 15,000 show up, the AWs won't be back here anytime soon

Which would blow because Wellington is the football capital of NZ (no pun). If anything, we should be getting the lions share of All Whites matches (again no pun intended)

Won't be going to this game, $27.00 to watch NZ v Vanuatu.$15.00 tops for this would be fair, never mind $15.00 for kids. What a joke, bet there will be thousands of kids there!! . After forking out $700.00 for the GALAXY match does NZF BELEIVE WE HAVE AN ENDLESS SUPPLY OF MONEY.Sorry, let them keep it in Auckland and let us save our money for the Phoenix. New Zealand Football just cashing in on the Nix's band wagon and charging what the Phoenix charge. Sorry, not for me
