There's been a lot of talk that even with the reported $5 million from the second leg TV rights NZF is still struggling financially - well there's a perfect solution. Until Mexico finally put this second leg to rest there is still niggling doubt. We still have a bit of leverage. Mexico not going to Brazil would cost Fifa/Brazil/WC hundreds of millions of $ from lost sponsorship, TV rights and ticket sales etc. Why don't we simply offer Mexico a deal. For a quiet $10 million in used notes in a brown envelope (Qatar will know how it's done) NZF will allow Ricki to pick his old favourites again and park the bus with a flat backline. He could even throw in Butler to partner Christie in the midfield. For added assurance Lochhead will be CB, Brockie LB, Fallon at RB and Durante to be the lone striker. Everyone must just kick the ball blindly up the field, passing to another AW will be prohibited as a waste of energy.
Bingo - NZF walk away with another drubbing but a total of $15 million richer. Frank, Fred and Ricki can keep their jobs with a little reshuffle and some poor sod will be brought in as a figurehead AW coach. The gravy train will continue.
It would have happened elsewhere, without doubt...
...but if the AW's turned up and bent over with that "peppered angus" approach to Wednesday night's game NZF would be paying out the $15 million dollars to cover the mayhem, murder, rioting, and Fifa fines resulting from the (un)civil unrest!!
There are plenty of experts more qualified than I to discuss the best approach tactically on these threads
It seems to me one or two early AW goals from an all-out assault on Mexico could have a huge unsettling effect on them.

NZF stands to Lose US$10+Million. Yes it will hurt us...... but NOTHING like what's at stake for those Mexican players and staff!!! Its serious shit and not over yet.
The pressure on each and every Mexican player will be overwhelming, especially if we could swing a bit of early momentum our way.
The AW's are here at home in a packed ROF, and each of us there has a job to do come Wednesday....
"One Billiion Dollars!! You're LOSING One Billing Dollars!! One Billion Dollars!!!......You're LOSING One BIllion Dollars!!!"
Yes unlikely, but then so was our qualification and results last time. At least give it a go.
