As much as I hate them, it's the right thing to do. I just hope they don't ruin things too much.

Vuvuzelas makes a deafing sound unlike the other instruments, its decibel is remarkably high. I would have thought that it would be a health and safety hazard. If you notice the crowd, only a few of them were blowing it in a TV frame, but with the thousands in the stadium, it is literally hundreds that makes it the sound a constant buzzing sound.

I am basically against it because of the loudest per Vuvuzelas and the volume of them in the stadium.

Most other instruments were not as loud nor as many and so it doesn't comes a problem. If however for an example that there was hundreds of bagpipes we would get the same constant noise with the same loudest. I would complain about the volume of bagpipes as well.

What annoys me more is that the Vuvuzelas in plastic form are a recent invention and is not a common cultural thing at their football and so it is mainly marketing and a money spinner. Many internet polls has haf of the people who are against having Vuvuzelas are actually South Africans. Which has to tell you how incredibility bad it is, even for South Africans.

why not just allow them in south african games and not for the rest. They are so so bad, and i think soeone else on here said it, that the most annoying thing is they dont seem to be foolowing teh play at all.

Possibly because there'll be locals at the non-Saffa matches as well. Hopefully the tourists will outnumber them enough to weaken the impact...if so, I might just watch the non-Saffa matches

I think the best bit is to allow it, but not encourage it. Ban them from being sold or given away at the stadium, but allow fans to bring their own ones in should they so choose to.
