It's great to have another actual, legit striker underneath Wood. I feel like we haven't had that before, we've been producing a lot of small tricky wingers instead.

Was the first time I've watched Greive properly (apart from a few St Mirren highlights) and I was really impressed with his movement in the box, or unless it was terrible man-marking from the NC defence lol. Seems to find space easily and get in between the two centre backs well.

English based All Whites fan! Would love to watch an All White game one day.

Evening all, hilites from today's game (sorry I'm late posting them, day job got in the way...).  Good goals, but couple of fairly hairy "challenges" that could've seen our guys seriously injured on another day.  But as others have said, job done :)

Main thing is I hope Hay keeps mixing it up, because the CONCACAF opponent whoever it is, will be using these games as their main video analysis. Plus maybe a chat to the Curaçao coaches, and watching a video of that game

No harm trying to keep them in the dark as much as possible for June. And of course everything changes if Singh is fit come the Playoff. So in a way no harm he is missing at the moment, because way AWs setup with Sarpreet hopefully come June, will be different again
On the other side of the coin we barely have any time together and getting some sort of a settled lineup will be important.

I think back to the Olympics QF verus Japan. Started game with what I’d call a back 5 (Reid, Pijnaker & Stensness as CBs).

But then early 2nd half Hay made a bold call and replaced Reid (came into the came injured) with McCowatt, changing the shape (with score 0-0). Olywhites actually then went pretty much toe to toe with Japan. Only to lose on pens. Exciting to watch, and an indication that Hay maybe won’t be set on just one shape in the future

Remember that when the Playoff game comes around in June
