Does anyone know what the crowd figure is looking like at this stage?
Also is the game televised?

I say tackle him in the face.

Live on the TVNZ website (NZ only) and on Freeview (for both people who have it) plus delayed coverage at 10.35 pm on TV One.

The marketing really has been poor, plus 6pm isn't a great time is it.  I'd really like to know the theory behind that...

Has anyone seen any ads for the game?

It is almost as if NZ soccer wants to make a point about All-whites home being north harbour.

sh*t time, sh*t day and sh*t all advertising = low attendance

Its not as if it was any different up here. If noone told you when the game was on - you didnt know.

I agree with the comments about jafas - sad 'cause I have to live here!

Overpriced as well....better to have lowered the price to get bigger crowd I would have thought.  Earlier time would have captured kids midweek but at $15 for under 15s and $27 for adults I for one am not going.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Does seem a bit steep. I'm only going due to a free ticket.

I don't think you could seriously claim it is a higher standard than the A-League, although apparently the cake tin is an expensive venue.  I think it is expensive myself

It is expensive, but White Noise t-shirts aren't !!

There are only about a dozen left at Champs folks, maybe less (I know three went this afternoon).

If you want one get in early tomorrow.

Its expensive, but not as expensive as travelling to Auckland to supoort them.

Guy at Ticketek said not many tickets sold.

Havent got a white noise shirt yet as thought it would be to cold to just wear a T shirt. I've now changed my mind on that as Ive just been oitside, its about finishing time for the game and its still warm enough so I will go to champs and try my luck in the morning.

Ive heard plently of ads on the radio, it was mentioned several times at the nix's game on sat, I think I saw an ad in the Dom Post about it.

There are now just over 60,000 Freeview boxes in use. Just wait till next years Olympics when TV1 will be playing heaps of content on Freeveiw channels.

Working so i can get 3 Fridays off in a row,so wont be joining you for what should be  a good nite.
Unfortunately i think they have  screwed up big time with the prices they are charging  and for that reason many of those i have spoken to will not be attending for that reason. With the Phoenix having 3 games in a row at home think they may find many will keep their cash for those.

must admit I was put off by the ticket price (I think it was $10 last time the AW's played at the Stadium), but I decided to get a ticket today - closest ticket available to aisle 21 is aisle 24! The ticketek lady showed me the screen display with aisles 20, 21, 22, 23 all blanked out. She didn't know if this was due to bookings or what ...
So, maybe a crowd of 5,000 - and if it's a nice evening, maybe some after-work walk-up attendees.

Wonder if they aren't selling those sections so anyone can head in there ?

Too much to hope...

Bencher from 16:00 incidentally, for anyone keen.

That's a puzzle. I went down at 2pm and bought tickets for aisle 21...
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I bought 4 tickets in aslie 21 about 4.30 yesterday and at that stage not even half of the aslie had been sold.

hmmm - it was the Waikanae ticketek outlet that I got the tickets from - maybe aisles 21-23 were Wellington sales only; hope not, would prefer those aisles were unavailable because they were all sold.
I'll find out tomorrow night .......

Well NCEA exams are also beginning so the teenage component of the crowd won't be big either. I'll be there of course

Anyone know if TVNZ will have delayed internet coverage of the game, as they did last time with the Fiji game? I live in Oz so I'm assuming the live stream wont be available, not that I'll be home anyway, but I'd really like to watch a replay at least.

They had live stream last time and then you could replay the stream afterwards.  I'd be surprised if the same facility isn't available tomorrow.

I reckon 6000 to 8000 tonight, the weather is starting to change with the wind gusting against the rattling  windows up here at Jambo Towers in  Newtown ,so its guaranteed  that it  will be a lot worse at the stadium .Unless it settles down it will significantly effect the walk up crowd especially if the games live on the idiot box as well!
Anyway heres to a good competitive game of football, theres a lot at stake  so hopefully everyone gets their collective arse's down to Thorndon tonight!
