Adelaide again! From never been, to 3 times in 6 months!

I am definitely going.

Re accommodation - I'm not recommending Motal Adjacent Casino, but their rooms were about the same price as a private room at a backpackers - but probably tattier (clean tho) than most BPs I've stayed at. However it is very well located for Hindley St and the Oval.

Qantas seems to be the cheapest - $699 leaving on the 4th get back on the 6th.

Air NZ - $807 leaving on the 4th get back on the 7th.

We've asked out friends at Classic Travel to put together a package for us. It may involed a couple of day stop over in Melbourne on the way over as there is F all to do in Radelaide.

If you can hold off for a few days then may be worth waiting to see what they come up with.

For what it is worth, there is a handfull of us (Me, El Gap, SMithy, ChelskiLiz, Feverish) flying to Melbourne on the 3rd, spending two nights there. Then flying into Adelaide on sunday. Then flying out Tuesday.

A friend of mine has just phoned to say that he has booked a flight on the 3rd/return 6th from Wellington for NZ$594. via Melbourne and another is arriving from Auckland for NZ$508.

Yeah qantas had $217 each way flights but those tickets are sold out i think.

I doubt it. I'll see anyway. I might be able to get a media pass but I'd want to be in the White Noise zone rather than in the media box. I'd probably ending up writing some stuff over there anyway. I've got to get plane tickets before they get too dear.

YHA in central Adelaide is pretty good for people looking for cheap accommodation. 5 star hostel, been there a couple of times.

Sadly can't make this game at the fairly excessive prices for flights. Was to be expected though, not easy to get to Adelaide from here.

I would'nt hold your breath. Setanta/ or one of the ESPN
channels could have it, but chances are small.
