Technically speaking, we could get through with a loss provided Japan lose by enough goals to Switzerland. So in short, yep, you're right, we'll need at least a draw to get through.

Also correct on the second point, 5 points would be the most any NZ team got at a FIFA tournament.

Watching that game last night, I was really impressed by the style of play of that team, the quality of the passing and the overall skill level

 

In other news, I just asked Ayu Nakada to be my friend on facebook. I doubt she will accept as so far she's only got 5 friends. If my wife finds out I'm in trouble.
