Does anybody know if Sky is covering the qualifier against Fiji on Saturday?

Apparently its on TV 1 of all places. I'm going to have to lift my boycott of that channel for the game.

Bollocks to sky for not getting the rights!

Wouldn't you think the A league programme would allow for no rounds on weekends when there are important international games? - (or do the SoccarEdnas not play their qualifiers at the same time as us?)

The FFA made a decision not to call off matches for call-ups.

Sydney lost 5 a few weeks ago when Aus played Argentina, plus this weekend many sides lose players to the Aus Olympic qualifying campaign.  Perth may lose up to 4 from memory.

Well said. They have made a change to the finals series to accommadate the socceroos WC qualifiers.

I`m sure if a team in the English championship had a few players away on international duty this weekend they would  have their game re- scheduled. An issue for FNZ to discuss with the FFA before next septembers games v New Caledonia.

So this is not a FIFA regulation? Up to each association to make it`s own rules?

I hear NZF were too cheap to buy injured Nelsen a first class air ticket - even though they are sponsored by an airline

Might be Telfer

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

If we watch the game at the BB or Lounge, then we should hook up a mic and have turns at doing out own commentary. Beats listening to some geezer who has never watched footy in his life.

Fiji? Vanuatu?  I can't pretend to be interested in these World Cup qualifiers given the advent of the Phoenix.  On the other hand Phoenix v Central Coast Marinated, that is a game I'm prepared to go to...
