How many fifa international windows are there in 2010 before the WC?

i can't see us playing too many  of our warmups at home, for logisitical reasons, although i guess some countries might make an effort to fly down and play us now.

Australia should be a must. it will be more beneficial to us, so i wouldn't complain if we had to play them in aussie.

If we build it, they will come...

A few decent teams have been keen to play us over the last few years.  Argentina recently (we turned them down), Tunisia before the last world cup, and according to the Press, Denmark and China were interested (a few years ago) - so you'd hope we'd get a few good away friendlies and at least a few home ones as well.  A home and away match against Aussie would be great.

2005 at Craven Cottage.  Lost 1-0.  Were all over us.  Ricki's first game.

Ideally we would face a representation of the Fifa federations we are likely to be drawn against.  Might have to be away from home with travel costs but.....and a home and away against Aussies as a revenue earner.

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

Now that NZF knows people will turn up if the game is promoted well and it involves decent teams hopefully there might be some actual home friendly internationals against quality opposition. disco_mart2009-11-15 11:00:27

FIFA window on 3 March 2010..so maybe something then?  Leagues finish early as well so I guess some fixtures post that as well as part of build up..maybe 3/4 team setup in Asia?

I'd like to see a few matches outside of Wellington. We can capitalise on the qualification buzz here already with the Phoenix, to maximise the footprint of the sport it's possibly best to have the AW's play in Christchurch, Hamilton, Dunedin etc. Possibly even...dare I say it...Auckland
