http://tvnzondemand.co.nz/content/ondemand_classics/ondemand_classics_video_skin?tab=&sb=date-descending&e=sports_classics_soccer_napiervnorthshore_1985#ep_sports_classics_soccer_napiervnorthshore_1985 check this out.  the 2nd half of the 1985 chatham cup final between napier and north shore.  napier got relegated this year and kevin hagan was player of the year.

interesting apperances by duncan cole, along with hagan and allan boath, the only all whites at the time on show.  hobbs and henry would also later play for the national team.

in defence for napier, otago united's cam parkin's old man, terry and up front greg brown, he who played for the all whites before eventually switching to the socceroos.  future all white paul halford is also in the side.

for those of you who believe that our game has gone backwards, i reckon this is proof.  the standard of footy shown here is well ahead of what we've been served up in the nzfc.  maybe all current nzfc players should get a perm like peter henry's too...

Allan Boath was a bloody good player, brought out from the UK by ChCh United. Most of these guys were less technically able than todays lot but had huge attitude.

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

Correction: Was brought out by Woolston WMC when they were in the old National League and when te got relegated then moved to ChCh United.
