Also and very importantly- there is the NEX on the busway. A safe quick way to get from town to the stadium.

Sadly, no. The Northern Express bus still ends at Albany station, twenty minutes of muddy field away from NHS.

ACFC - Better than the All Whites.

Hmm.

Interesting negative comment considering ACFC have, once again, achieved an exceptional result against both Uzbekistan and now the Moroccan champions.

Clean sheets (bar for penalties) against both too. Well played Tamati!

Funny innit. Once upon a time I would have been absolutely stoked by this ACFC result. Kiwis on the world stage, doin' it!

But you and your friends (or multis?) and your insistent trolling on here has gradually made me more and more apathetic about it all.

I suppose overall it's good for the game here because of the money and the exposure it brings.

Exactly what trolling? I would estimate that 80% of my posts are pro ASBP and ACFC with the remaining 20% being a mixture of humour and perhaps a rare comment on the Phoenix.

Ask Geoff VadAr - He looked over my historic posts about a year ago and discovered that I generally don't needlessly slag the Phoenix but am actually passionately pro ASBP. I actually don't really give two tits about the Phoenix.

Then you shouldn't really be posting on this forum.

Namesake now is not the time to light that spark. Let's have a day of celebration and not let this turn into its usual shambles. It is a special day. Tomorrow the usual suspects can revert back to their usual ways.

Just woken up to hear the result, wonderful news for Auckland City. How did they play, did they look the better team/was it even?

That is seriously impressive. Well done ACFC that is an immense effort. An amateur team in the semi finals of the CWC!!! Unreal.

Three for me, and two for them.

Recorded the game and just finished watching it. Great result, top effort from the lads. Doing NZ and OFC proud.

With the ball getting caught in the standing water, i'm surprised they haven't abandoned it yet.

I was laughing at the Sky News Australia gutting saying Auckland and WSW will get through.

Hope he's right!

Any one know if Wanderers SC and Weenix get a cut of Club World Cup prize split.?I'm assuming Weenix would have paid entry fee to the league so should be eligible but not sure about Wanderers...

Seen as those 2 clubs dont follow the same rules as the other 7 you would hope not, but even if they did the Phoenix surely wouldnt have the gall to cash its cheque......

Club World Cup Semifinals, Morocco, 2014 :

San Lorenzo  of Argentina v Auckland City of New Zealand

Real Madrid of Spain v Cruz Azul  of Mexico

Who'd a thought it? I mean, really?

ACFC now 4th best team in the world. At worst.
