How did this sh*t game get TV coverage when ASB Premiership gets none. I think NZF need a major cutting down by the players paying for this sh*t managment.

Because people involved with it get off their backsides to promote it.
Get off your ass and do something about no ASB Prem coverage then.
If you don't know what to do ask. That won't happen will it!

I bet you don't get involved in your local football club, unless you call playing being involved. Yeah Right.

I believe New Zealand Football is the promoter of both these games and also wish to grow the ASB Premiership with new teams. but all the teams struggle for real sponsorship because of the lack of return for a sponsor - say a weekly 1 hour show would bring (TV or Internet based as some clubs do). But what comes first egg or chicken, or even may be bust.

i enjoyed the coverage and was grateful for it.

i'm sure there is a good reason why futsal coverage is possible and asb premiership is not.

but it does still irk me that there is no asb prem coverage, especially when there are production crews present at auckland, waitak, team wellington, canterbury and possibly other home games.

It is also easy to cover it with one Camera with a video tape.... ie costs the broadcaster f**k all to do

The coverage put on U-tube by ASB Prem clubs is of a reasonable standard would not take much to make a 1/2 highlights show if they can find a good commutator to do the voice over.

At least 3 cameras was used for Auckland last weekend.
Good to see someone has got off their backside to put something together for Futsal and get it on SkyTV again for round 2 highlight package.
More than the ASB prem teams or administrators are doing.

Nor do they want $10 to watch some crap team play one game as per the ASB Premiership.

I think when you look at the books of all federations at the end is this year you will see a large amount of your money going to futsul, as well as NZF who I believe will be funding said TV coverage.

Blew2 if you are suggesting federations' money is going into paying for futsal on TV you are 100% wrong. Any money in the federations going into futsal is to take the game to wider audience and for skills development.

I went to a couple of games last night. It was awesome! Any team can beat any other on its day. Very exciting, close action. Thrills and spills.  Still an afternoon's worth in Auckland today and a weekend in Wellington in March. Get in there and support it! Top class free entertainment.

New Zealand Football need a rocket up the arrs.

Booked all the out of Auckland teams into the Base backpackers. Cheap skates as the players pay for all the travel and accommodation to NZF/Federations.

Seems ok on paper but arn't NZF based in dorkland?

Base only has a nightclub below it going gungho untill 4am. A nice way to be up for a tournie, Not.

How about we ask all the ASB Prem teams to have players pay.

Let's see them give the AWs the same in Dunedin wouldn't put it past them.

Good to see it back fired on them thinking they could help the aucks to the title with South and Mainland having wins over last years champs.

While I'm in a good form. What about security at ASB Stadium.

Tha Auckland lads had their bags pillaged when doing warm up for a game on Saturday, the stuff was taken from a dressing room that out of town guys didn't know was there. local knowledge req'd.

Ps that's what a team manager is for, to look after the non on court stuff. fire that bag man/lady.the

so, i have been recording this to watch later

later was tonight and it's just awful

you've got 30 mins to showcase your sport and you get a bunch of numpties in their monotone voices talking nothing over the odd clip of footy

what a wasted opportunity

if you have a decent product, like you have, then give it some coverage

i don't care what a bunch of people i've never heard of think, show a game!

Totally with you on that Reg. Feedback to Dave Payne at NZF so whoever the tv production co. is gets the message: show more of the bloody game and less of people doing wooden all-the-same interviews.

I hate how the interviews often talk about the result before you've seen any of the game. Screams amateur hour.

ASB National Futsal League back on again this weekend 4th to 6th October with round one in Auckland.

Rounds to follow are Wellington on 15th to17th November and Hawkes Bay 29th Nov to 1st Dec.

Is it live on web and SkySport highlights at a later date as previous years?

Permalink Permalink

Heard Sommet Sports may be televising live matches this year. However most likely it will be the same highlights package on offer from Sky.
