CAMERON LINDSAY
Blackburn, England

One of the most exciting prospects, Lindsay has been at Blackburn for two years and recently signed a two-year professional contract with them. He is versatile; at the Under-17 World Cup, he played just in behind the striker but also filled in at centre back, where he began his career. He also plays wide midfield at Blackburn and his speed and technical ability on the ball is impressive.

That's an interesting move. They're playing my local side, Hayes & Yeading United, tomorrow arvo. One assumes he only signed until the end of the season?

Funnily enough he replaces Canterbury United's midfielder Gary Ogilvie who went the other way and played every game for Canterbury this past summer:

Ogilvie played the 2014 - 15 season for Concord Rangers.

Before that the Englishman played college soccer in the US for Florida Institute of Technology.

Ogilvie represented Essex age-group teams and was vice-captain of the England Universities team, before taking up a scholarship at the Florida Institute of Technology. During his stint in the United States he was twice picked for the All Conference team and won two titles with Forest City in the Premier Development League, which is the feeder competition for Major League Soccer.

The 25 year-old Ogilvie has proved a useful fellow to have around at Mainland Football where he is employed as a football development officer.

He's also a qualified high school PE and Business teacher and a former associate sports lecturer and football coach at a tertiary institute in the UK.

Ogilvie is also an official recruiter for US college soccer in the UK (any Kiwi lads interested in following that route might like to contact him).
