I just emailed a guy at Canterbury United asking if Canterbury United were going to have any pre-season friendlies and I got this reply:

Thanks for your email.

We are still to confirm our pre season plans - and are working with NZF to have a pre season tournament here in ChCh over Labour Weekend, as well as playing our annual fixture against Otago (In Dunedin)

Their will be trial games and matches against an Academy and/or Invitational XI - Dates,times and venue to be confirmed.

Once we have details confirmed it will be posted on our website and communicated to the football community.

Does anyone know if the other teams in the mini-tournament will be NZFC teams, or smaller club teams from around Christchurch?

Hope to see some of you guys at some of the pre-season games!

Canterbury United can suck my balls after banning Albie and moving to QE2.  Won't be getting my money.

Are you ditching the team just because of some bad decisions that were made? They can still do well in the NZFC.

Lost interest after looking at playing in a 10000 seater stadium and banning the only guy who could possibly fill it.
