Seeing as the official site hasn't really been updated since last season, does anyone have any info on what is happening?  Is it true that Fa'arodo has gone to AKL?

Yes.  A little too quiet.  I knew Fifi was on board, and I thought Sir Andrew Pitman would return, however there has been pretty much nothing info wise from website or media.  Not long till kickoff!

Sure, with all the mistakes they have on their front page you are of course kidding. They cant even get the name of their own districts right.

fisher's at bodens in sweden.  not sure if he's coming back this season either.

i'm a little concerned that many of the nzfc franchises are not doing their bit to promote themselves of the game in their area.

hard news and i havecontacted each NZFC franchise and offered to post any information, news, press statements, etc that they want on this site.  we have only heard back from four of them.  canterbury has not responded.

Hello, my first posting here - please be gentle -  I was sort of lured here by my mate Hard, who was cribbing my postings from elsewhere. And sorry, i couldn't think of a funny name to call myself. I'm a Waikato fan, but have heard a smattering of news out of Canterbury over the past coupla months.

Danny Halligan is coach,  Keeper Adam Highfield is due back from his Finnish club, while Stuart Kelly and Blair Scoullar will also be back for another season, along with Chris Morris and Andy Pitman, but Michael White is chasing a pro contract o/seas (v difficult with the Uk transfer window not opening till January).

It's also been reported that Canterbury lost $10,694 in the past financial year, despite a $140,000 growth in revenue (including $56,946 thanks to Auckland City). Most alarming figure in their financial report was probably that gate receipts had dipped from $32,000 to $22,000 - divide that by 11 and what do you get? Canty are still getting club levies of about $35,000 for another two years.

Canty were also looking at playing at QEII Park after Mainland quoted around $2000 for home matches in the New Zealand Football Championship, but they've now settled their blue. Hope that helps.

yeah QEII just two big and what little atmosphere we get at english park would be lost straight away. Yeah Morris will be a huge help in the middle but we are lacking some strike force.... Fifi needs to turn it on
