2.30pm today - if you're not out at a game, watch Miramar vs Olympic in the Central League on this link! Great to have NZF streaming games in these leagues.

Olympic lucky not to see a double red card for these tackles

Absolutely bonkers that the Olympic bench were complaining about that red. JHS was a bit unlucky to make that much contact, but he's driven straight down into a planted leg with his studs. And that's not even mentioning Gulls getting in on the action...

I wonder if two players have ever been sent off for the same tackle.

Great to see a big crowd at that game. Will enjoy this game at a national league

That is interesting as I thought a red was justified

It was right in front of me...Miramar player got sandwiched and the Olympic player was late and right on top of him with his studs showing. No problem with the red.

The coach seemed reasonable the second tier looked a bit nuts.

With the Video and Photo evidence, can Gulls be given a red card? What are the central league rules? i.e. the Aleague the governing body can rule a red card offense if it was not picked up on field.

Olympic have reached new levels of victim mentality if they are going around claiming the ref admitted to making a mistake when he didn't.

Anyone know what the rules are around the coaching level you need to coach central league?  Does the coach with the qualification have to be present at all games?

Thank you for the info. Is there a list anywhere of who currently holds a B licence? Is this made public?

I don't know if there is a list anywhere that I know of that has been made public. People who do have COMET access I believe can be naughty and look up if someone has the licence but not a list of people that I'm aware of

not sure what the NZF doc relates to exactly Matt- but surely for CL it is a C licence. I think that's what Phil and Bes have.

They relate because all leagues are under the new National League structure now with the Southern, Central and Northern Leagues being qualifying leagues for the Championship phase. So my understanding is that they want the coaches up to a B Licence however of course they are allowing this season and next season for people to work their way towards having the required qualification.

So it is C licence but you just need to stick your name down on a B enrolment that you may or may not do in a couple of years time..hmm

Could someone with a little more Central League knowledge than me please give me a run-down of Ollie Whyte? Been hearing his name floated round everywhere recently, I know he's been playing deeper since returning from Turkey but I'm curious to know how he's performed

Haven't seen him in CL but played a bit more box to box for team welly with Barcia holding. It's no coincidence that they won every game once he came back.

I’ve watched a lot of games and he is great. Obviously not a pro standard but he is definitely a stand out.

Pretty much the entire team that earned them promotion didn't want to play Prems. Their current team is pretty much WS/Ole reserves.

Just watched the 2nd half of Napier City Rovers v Wellington Olympic. Olympic were 3-0 up with 2 mins to go when I had to do some work but they were 3-0 up and fluffed two penalties.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Interesting, according to the Wairarapa Age times the club has not paid him due to  lack of funds. This raises the question that if they qualify for the National League will they have the funds to compete?

Or were they telling porkies? He would have spent the $ on players already from his back pocket I assume. Interesting that Lyndsey is suddenly playing again.

Five weeks ago. Big loss for them, but nothing in the scheme of things.  Ole have stretched themselves thin with the nui gig.
