Bannatyne gifted them their first and using his feet never looked that sure. Austrian superstar Michael Winsauer impressed me..for all the wrong reasons! Actually he did OK but looked shaky in a few occasions. Perverley looked better in pre-season. Draper was horrible, got booked for diving and wouldn't have scored in a brother. Little was the shadow of the player he used to be. The only one who play Ok for me was n.4 Chris Bale. I thought he was strong on the ball, great with headers and can surely shoot and carry the ball. Have the Nix ever looked at him?

Also US College phenomenon Jyler Noviello has the worst name in the league and didn't play that well either!!!
Honestly I am sorry i'm so negative, I was just hoping for a better performance. It must be said that Manawatu played very well. The 2 asian players were very good, Soromon didn't do anything all game but still managed to get a hattrick..unbelievable!!! No.21 Chettleburgh looked really lively..the only thing I can't justify is their LB, n.8 with dreadlock mr. Coocksley (I think I remember him from V.1 or 2). He doesn't do nothing. Doesn't run, pass or tackle. He just has an innate sense of positioning that allows him to be in the right place at the right time.

 

Thats why he is playing National League and you are not. Must've done something right. How many goals did Manawatu let in today?

I play for mighty Varsity mate. Wouldn't play for any other club in the world even if I was actually getting paid money to do it.

I said he's got good positioning didn't I? I just think that with the team they have, Manawatu could do better at LB, that's all.

Saw a YH supporters with PMS today, a couple were even having a go at a girl, top supporting.

that I wouldn't play for any other club? Pretty self explanatory innit!!! I just got upset cause I ripped into the TW squad the one semi-negative comment I made about a great YHM must be answered to like that.

On a different note, was HN the speaker today?!?! that was hilarious.

And RAF was immense, even if he only played about 20'. No he wasn't very sharp, but he's still my favourite player. period!!

Any YHM fan knows why Brooke Tozer wasn't re-signed by the club?

had the pleasure of playing with Brooke 3 times this year and man, that boy's got talent!! we played in the middle together and it was such fun. basically my job was to defend and pass him the ball everytime I could. He did all the rest!! I thought with the standard of YHM this year he may not find a spot, but that's a bit sad. he's a young talent and needs to develop. I hope he'll find another club at some stage, cause he needs to play at high level as he's quite good.

At least I got one thing right....TW lost....

Well let's hope that the powers to be will have another look at the way TW is playing (hopefully it was just a glitch ....????? ). Too may outsiders...too many "stars" and the same old recipe...it is getting quite predictable really....

I do feel sorry for some of the local talent as they will never get a chance to play for TW due to the local politics.... I get the feeling that TW is becoming the KINGZ of old....we seem to "collect" all the wanabes and lately all the has beens...

may a bit harsh but ah this is how I see things...and stand to be corrected at the end of the NZFC season.

 

I don't know but I  was in the same class at intermediate as his sister and she was hot!

 

matty, when I first read your post I thought you said "have a look at Steele"..that would have been hilarious! Though, having seen Bannatyne, I don't think you would have done much worse than he did lol

Why I ask, is becuase this is a lad who has had a dream run through our national age group teams, right to the olympics, but we've seen very little of him at domestic level, where most players have to prove themselves first.

 

I haven't seen enough of him to form a view, so would appreciate some comment from punters who have seen him in action a number of times.

 

Did he just have a bad day? or is this really where he is at?
