TeeDubs is a Tenner.

Wimmins free.
It will be worth paying the tenner just to see a scoreline TW1  MNTU 2 especially with either Raff or Jimmy scoring the winner ...

Yellow Fever sponsoring Team Wellington again this year, specifically I believe we are sponsoring Andy "Bob the Builder" Barron and Richie "The Greyhound" McLay to the tune of a grand.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Who am I thinking of then?

Confirmation from Yellow Fever Team Wellington that Michael Schwarzeneger (or whatever his name is) will be available.  International clearance has come through.

One down two to go.

NZFC Pairing Will aid United

Gary Caffell | 29th October 2009

Wairarapa United's strike force is set to play a leading role in Young Heart Manawatu's 2009 New Zealand Football Championship campaign, which kicks off on Sunday when they play Wellington at Newtown Park.

Combining up front for the Manawatu side will be Seule Soromon and Campbell Banks, who paired so effectively for Wairarapa United over the latter stages of last season's central league campaign.

Soromon, a Vanuatu international, was an early signing by Manawatu coach Bob Sova who was impressed by his speed and flair, commodoties which helped him to a Wairarapa United goal scoring record two seasons back and made him the second highest individual scorer in the central league.

The signing of former All White Banks by Manawatu was confirmed only last week and means he is returning to a side for which he played in the 2005-06 season when they were runners-up to Auckland City for the national title and played in the Oceania playoffs.

Since then Banks had played two summers in the Victorian premier league in Melbourne for Green Gully Cavaliers and Sunshine George Cross and he made a huge impact with his attacking skills when he was a late addition to the Wairarapa United squad last season, scoring some important goals himself and setting up numerous others.

At 1.90m Banks will be the easily the tallest player in what is a relatively short Manawatu, a scenario which will make him an obvious target man for crosses and corner kicks.

Wairarapa United coach Phil Keinzley is delighted to see Soromon and Banks continuing their partnership in the NFC, saying it can only be good news for Wairarapa United leading into their 2010 central league programme."Every game they play together is going to make them a more lethal combination.......and they are lethal enough now," Keinzley said, adding that their very different styles was always going to make them difficult to be shut down by any defensive system.

Was he driving one of these

As a side note, this is El Hadj Diouf's car.  I saw it in Manchester the other night (not this photo) and it is a mess.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

I have a certain nervous expectation about the TW game.  What a good feeling!!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I have fond memories of that car. not that I've ever been in it or anything, but 5 years ago, fresh off the boat, I used to go watch TW and that's where I saw Raf for the first time and my life as a footballer changed forever! I've never actually spoken to him, I'm not the shy type, but Raf is like the only person I'd feel a bit self-conscious talking to. That's not normal is it?!?!

Anyway, is he not playing for YH this year? Any chance of him signing for TW?

Team Who? Aren't Andy Barron and James Bannetyne in the All Whites squad. 4nil. How embarrasing.  Yellow fever might need to sponsor them a little more than $1000. Trent Watson on the cards for them as well I see.. they are really struggling this year.  Where are Schaffers, Howe, Jenkins, Barbarosus(sp?) and the olympic/wests and miramar players?

Thank you Phil Kenizley for your importing skills. Bob Sova has done well.

Has Jenkins gone overseas? From what I saw of him he was a really talented young player. I thought the NZFC was meant to be a stepping stone for young players and I thought he went to the Under 20 World Cup and the Olympics.

thought trent watson wasn't bad actually, also our midfield was decent, they just scored off the counter attack also couple of lucky pinball action lead to a couple of goals. Thought Bale for TW was outstanding my MOM for Wellington. Draper was TERRIBLE, didn't try to work for anything and then had a big moan and whinge when didn't get the ball, never looked like beating his man either. TW really need some more fire power out wide, thought the American Jyler looked alright when he came on, has a nice turn of pace. The Austrian dude wasn't bad either though, just needs more time to gel into the team.

TeeDubs didn't look well organised, either going forward or defending.  Deserved to go down by 3 - the first goal, due to Bannatyne's handling error, was a bit unlucky.

I don't think the wide players are that bad.  There were real problems about moving the ball out wide (too many square, rather than diagonal passes), and when crosses came in, Draper was out of position, wasteful, or both.

Bale was solid, and probably the TeeDubs' best player on the day.  His booking for getting stuck in was a sign that he did his job - Draper's, for flopping, showed how badly the striker played.

Very impressed by Soromon today.  He probably deserves to be taken seriously as an A-League prospect, especially if he gets a New Zealand passport.
