Says the fat bloke who can't organise an indoor team...

Update: we're coordinating with friend of the Fever, and Team Welly Chairman, Mark Chote on the travel front.

Looks at this stage like we'll head up and back on the Sunday - a 10am ish flight up, a bus to the ground and back to the airport, then a 7.30 ish flight back.

Approximate cost $250 but we're working on bringing that down.  There has been good interest so fingers crossed we can leverage some group discounts.

Just to show that I haven't been f**king about all afternoon!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Thats actually a pretty reasonable rate there Smithy.

As a daft suggestion, you should email Rex in advance and  let him know you are coming up as a group and touch base with him, I'm sure he'll be happy to accommodate you guys if you are adding to the match environment and he'd probably appreciate the resepct factor paid by ya. Maybe free entry?

Nah, Rex only does free beer to try and win friends.

Three for me, and two for them.

I don't think it is just the general public you don't want seeing these. Imagine if Danny and the rest read them. Just give them even more fire to win.

It was a great game on Saturday but Auckland's tactics seemed very random. Why would you play your best Centreback in the middle of midfield against arguably the most capable midfield in the country. He looked lost an that is a disservice to Sigmund.

Update:

If you are DEFINITELY in for an approximate cost of $250 can you please PM me your contact details.

No major changes since the last update: Qantas flights up and back on Sunday.  Bus to and from ground.  Squad are booked back on Air NZ but Qantas are cheaper and have better availability.

Still working on group discount for final price so I need to CONFIRM NUMBERS ASAP.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Call to arms for all welly club footballers travelling to the TW v Waitak showdown.

Let's get as many as possible of us wearing our local club shirts at the final. I know Cnut, Feverish, Hard News, Smithy will be wearing theirs.

Pretty much every Wellington club is a member club of Team Wellington. So, let's make a grand gesture of grassroots club football support for our franchise.

If you havent got one, pinch one from the gear bag on Saturday (or just ask nicely).

Remember.  PM Smithy if you are keen.  Costs around $250, see the post above this !!

Heads up lads - Central Park Drive (the street Douglas Field is on) is home to a great sports bar to called The Hangar - it's about 500metres walk from the ground - could be a good meeting place for everyone before and after.

I think the idea was to have a ball winner in midfield - something we've lacked against them this season - didn't seem like such a bad idea until his legs went

Don't forget to wash it Saturday night and hang it out the window of the plane to dry.

Naturally, being from Hamilton I'll be cheering for Wellington. Might even get a few of the Noodles up there, will have to be nice to the wife all week though.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Arse. I have an AGM to attend on Sunday afternoon and as Treasurer, my attendance is compulsory. I'll get to watch the 1st half before leaving home and the 2nd half when I get home after.

When are TW flying back? It would be good to give them a welcome at the airport regardless of the result, for the best TW season ever.

Have you confirmed seat numbers on flights?  A friend of mine and I were going to fly up to Auckland this coming weekend to see the V8s in Hamilton, however it was going to end up costing ~$400 each which was too steep so we've called that off.
