Nah, we'll take the loss (its part of the hardening up process), then administer a stinging defeat on the JAFAs at the Island in front of the faithful.

The BAY ARMY couldn't be arsed making the 1.5 hour trip to one of the most beautiful spots in New Zealand, and arguably the BEST football club on the PLANET??

Nah.  Taupo Schmaupo...its only just round the corner..no big deal..and we get more sunshine here in a week than Taupo does in a year...and you question why the mighty BAY ARMY dosen't mobilise???????????   also a JAFA win was predicted as its all part of a cunning plan.

Did Waitakere seriously play four kids at the back on the weekend against Hawkes Bay?

Comment on the nzfc website says:

We played Hawkes Bay on the weekend with a young back four of Hogg, Myers, Scott and Solly and won 5-0, so these players are not included just for show, they can play."

Where were Perry, Hay and Emblen - makes it even more impressive they won 5-0.

Umm the squads looking good at the moment but still couple players to come in. Waitak played 4 youngins at the back in the weekend. Its still only pre season tho and anything can happen over 14 weeks.

i was chatting with (the injured) Che Bunce yesterday. he expressed the view the waitakere scoreline was more reflective of some youngsters being trialed, particularly a keeper, than season prospects.

Said he was very impressed with the Vanuatu lad Seule Soromon.

He had a good game with messam against the Phoenix ressies last week as well.  Hope he has a good NZFC season, be good for the islands if it wasn't just the SOlomon lads looking to step up.

How's my driving? - Whine here
