So is that Harry 2nd from right in the wall?
Could just about be him. Less hair than before.

Hard to tell. On first glance, its similar but don't think so. Harry would be around 6.4 at a guess?

No way! Was beside him at Mt Smart and he wasn't near 6' 4".
^ 1.92 cm according to transfermarket/spieler whatsit. (whatever that is in feet & inches).
^ Haha. Nice one. (Well he was sitting down when I was beside him)
Harry is also a bit skinnier than that lad in the picture.
Then I think that is him. 22 was one of the taller players on the field. #10 is Mosquera and he is a tall unit also.
Which player was inelligible?
Believe it was young Harry Edge.
Facts are: the transgression was accidental, it was a player off the bench - and the other two players who came off the bench in that game were Mason and Robson, both who had played in games before, so surely if they were inelligible, then it'd be stated as being more than just the one encounter.
So that's what I believe.
what a cluster F**K, hmmm someone not doing there job... Free ride Barrie?
Looking at last weeks team sheet, the glaring name is Harry Edge.......
He was last at WaiBOP. Where did he go to next?
(Declan will surely be involved somehow)

CCM Youth. Then to Italy. (see his thread on Kiwis abroad).

hmmm
yeah, i was going to say the wests probably had his rego as he was only trialling at CCM.
so, the applied date was 9th jan and the approved date was 15th jan. game was on the 12th, so that's a pretty colossal fuckup by HBU
the website feeds off the database, so there's little chance of it being wrong unless it was keyed in incorrectly
Confirmed as Edge.
Transfer window wasn't open until this week anyway.
An unexpected way for Wanderers to notch their first win.... hope people kept their TAB tickets.

Hawke’s Bay sanctioned for fielding ineligible player
New Zealand Football wishes to advise that Hawke’s Bay United has been sanctioned for fielding an ineligible player in the ASB Premiership Round 8 match against Wanderers SC on Sunday 12 January.
Midfielder Harry Edge appeared off the bench for Hawke’s Bay in the 84th minute of the 3-1 win at North Harbour Stadium but was not eligible to play as, at the time of the match, the player’s transfer had not been properly concluded.
It has therefore been determined that the player participated in the match ineligibly. As a result, Hawke’s Bay United has been found to have been in breach of the regulations.
The club will be sanctioned with a fine and the loss of three competition points.
The original result of the match has now become void and a 3-0 win will instead be awarded to Wanderers SC.
“When finalising the reporting of all match results, as is standard practice after each round in the competition, it was discovered that one of the players was not registered with the club,” says Chris Kemp, the Competitions and Events Manager for New Zealand Football.
“The club was contacted regarding the situation and it was established that his transfer from a previous club had not been properly concluded. It is an unfortunate situation but if the regulations are breached then we have no option but to impose a sanction.”
The deduction of the points from the Wanderers game means Hawke’s Bay now has 11 points and drops from second to fifth on the ASB Premiership table. Wanderers remains at the foot of the table but the newly-awarded win takes the team’s season tally from two points to five.
“To lose the three points at this stage is devastating but the rules are the rules, no matter how unintentional the indiscretion was,” Hawke’s Bay United General Manager John McGifford says.
“In this case it was a simple procedural error and one which is truly regretted. All of us at Hawke’s Bay United are highly committed to ASB Premiership success and, despite the setback of the weekend, that resolve remains unchanged.”
Both teams will return to ASB Premiership action this weekend for Round 9 with Hawke’s Bay travelling to Southern United on Saturday 18 January and Wanderers visiting Canterbury United on Sunday 19 January.
But if correct,an unexpected way for Wanderers to notch their first win.... hope people kept their TAB tickets.
TAB almost certainly won't pay out on Wanderers. As far as they're concerned the result at 90 minutes is the result. Full stop.

As stated by N-bomb above your original post.
Feel sorry for Hawke's Bay on this one. Just hope they can keep up their good results and push for the title still
What are the odds on HB winning the league? Could be worth a punt.
I want them to qualify for the O League and get some of those Island teams down here

hasn't the structure of O league changed to tournament in one of the islands?
anyway any team from outside auckland would be good.
i heard that too but from talking to someone from Waitakere they seem to think it's back to the normal format - for this year anyway - not sure about next year.
Just looked on OFC site ....Jaysus , no wonder NZF want to stay with them ...they are the mong kid you stand next to at dances , so you look barely human...not even results for LAST Seasons finals ...lets get into Asia , toot sweet !

The tournament is scheduled April 6 to 13 in Fiji I believe.
Still going a head.
How have Waitak already qualified? From winning the ASB Prem last season? How does that affect this seasons qualifiers? So, if ACFC win the league this season is there even a need to play the playoffs? Does that mean that Team Welly, HBU and Canty can't play anyway as Waitak and ACFC are the two representatives
I'm confused

Got it Ali, thanks!
Has the O-League always been a year in arrears? Seems a bit strange that you qualify for a competetion and don't play in it until 14 months later.
Yeah its always for the year following, just like Asian Champions League. So the team that replaces Waitakere when they fail this ASBP season, will not go until April next year.
I think NZF need to redress that so that the team can keep their players and they are training and in form. You could conceivably see HBU qualifying but if they have a horrid next season, they go off the back of poor form.
Andy McNeil in goal for Hawkes Bay today against Wellington in the return leg of their playoff. Interesting.
Bad luck Hawke's Bay, would have been good to see you in the ASBP final. You guys must be kicking yourselves that a silly rule infringement cost you three points and second place in the minor premiership - and a 2015 O League spot should City win the final. Personally I thought the points deduction was too harsh.
They clearly broke the rules though. What alternative punshiment would you suggest?
