No separate game this season.

The Charity Cup will be on the line when Team Wellington play Auckland City in the league on Jan 8th at Dave Farrington Park

Bit weird that it isn't on the line in Round 1 instead.

I think it's not on the line in Round 1 as the game is hosted by the ASB Premiership winners ?

Great highlights package I reckon. I did miss the first 5 minutes however it was good quality, showed all the games (I think?) and there was no cheesiness in between each segment. Oh, ad no random breakaway interviews or other bullshark we have seen in previous highlights.

All the cheesiness was in the first 5 mins - who has the best abs? Joel? Let's see them again... Can't wait to see Norelle interviewing her buddy Clayton L. That could be a cracker.

Good point, will update. Next game is on Saturday between Auckland City v Hawkes Bay. One issue we can take is that again it has been relegated to the pop up channels.

Wahey, Saturday arvo football.

We've been out in local schools again this week after our last home game - had a few schools approach the club as a result as well, all within zone of Kiwitea Street.

Because Sky Sport suck at replying to messages I just sent an FB message to Fan Pass asking for more football and less golf as there was Golf on SS2 and SS4 during the game yesterday. Honestly who purchases a Fanpass for golf? Stick that and fishing on the living channel or something..

And then conceding the penalty 2 seconds later! (albeit the world's softest penalty).

Why do these GIFs only happen to Southern United players? :/

Defender was nervous as fudge about getting done (had already been done previously). Then proceeded to get done.

Was watching on a different angle live and after he fell over he tried to grab the ball with his right hand, thought better of it and then got up and gave away the peno.  You can kinda see him put his arm out in the televised view.

Because Southern players have no idea how to defend... or attack... or anything really, do they get paid? What an easy, cushy job. Get paid regardless of result—fans, media, family and management expect nothing. There's no pressure to perform either.

Can confirm. Had a really good angle of it on the day.

Thrilling matchups this weekend considering in every match apart from WeeNix vs Hamilton Wanderers the favourites are the away team (in that match there's no clear favourite really). Surely not all of the favourites will be able to win away from home though so there could be a home win or two.
