Your crowds at Cant Utd are up because you have a good side this season unlike the dire efforts of the past couple of years got FA to do with an Australian side in Wellington and the Phoenix had nothing to do with the AW's crowd at WCQ v Bahrain
you just logically shot down your own "its the phoenixs fault" argument.

It's also funny how in his world, it's completely the Phoenix's fault that the NZFC crowds are falling, while it has absolutely got nothing to do with the Phoenix that we got a sell-out crowd for the Bahrain game.

Having his cake and eating it too.

Thats hilarious! The fan base built by having the Phoenix in Wellington had nothing to do with the overcapacity sellout!?

Screw the NZFC. And Central League. And Champs Premier.

All gloryboys killing the grassroots of the game.

If you're watching anything higher than Capital One, you're not a true football fan.

What I'm disappointed by was Aaron Clapham being overlooked for the All Whites at the expense of Chad Coombes and Jason Hayne.  If he played for Auckland he'd have got the call.

It's the CWC and the O-League stealing the NZFC's coverage meaning deserving players get over-looked.

There used to be about a dozen spectators at various capital 13 games around wellington. And now since auckland came 5th at the CWC,that number has halved. Damn you!

Yeah Mainland Pres B (Division 9) is where it's at. Sadly due to the Phoenix being on television we'll never make prime time.

I'm sorry, what? The Phoenix and the fact that there is some jesting between myself and some Wellingtonians has nothing to do with Sky's decision not to show NZFC games.

The Phoenix the very reason that NZFC games aren't on SKY!!!
U could always go to the game then not have to worry about it not being shown live

The Phoenix has woken up football in New Zealand. FACT. This is because the Phoenix has managed to create a solid fan base, which is increasing every day, like the Knights and the Kingz never could. The YF has played a massive role in this, the work you guys have done in order to attract a city and a country to a football club has been outstanding, and I believe your prize has arrived during 2009 and will continue to arrive this year, as football's importance in the NZ sporting panorama continues to increase steadily. You deserve an AW win in any of the WC matches.

My office has a 5-a-side game near Paddington Station midweek. I blame the phoenix that no one shows up to watch.

Yes it must be the Nixs fault that i'll watch football even Div1, Masters45, High School1st x1.
But never pressies B.
How did you go last year TM.

Pressies C last year. After a very average start we ended up 5th out of 12, the league got split into 2 groups (top 6 and bottom 6). We won 13 out of the last 14 games only losing the last game to the team we beat on goal difference . For them to win the league they needed to beat us by 4 goals and sh*t did they come at us. They ended up beating us 3-1 so we held on for first place and hence we've asked for, and been granted promotion to Pressies B. Sadly due to the Phoenix playing in Australia we'll never get our 'Grassroots' style program we all want on tele so I'll never be famous. The week before we also had another epic game in which we beat Ashburton Eastern at home 7-5, we were up 6-1 until about the 70th minute mark, then all of a sudden it was 6-5 before an Eastern OG sealed the match for us
