Magnificent Young set to reach ton!

Evergreen striker Grant Young is set create history this Sunday 9 November 2008 for Auckland City FC against Otago United in the first round of the 2008/09 New Zealand Football Championship (NZFC).

The match, if he takes to the field, will mark his 100th appearance for the club.

Since his debut, on 15 October 2004 against Hawkes Bay United, on the opening day of the inaugural NZFC season, Young has amassed 99 NZFC, O-League & FIFA Club World Cup appearances for City, scoring 55 goals.

He is also set to become the first player in New Zealand to reach the 100-game milestone for a franchise club since the advent of the NZFC competition in 2004.
