Before 365 was banned here, they would have people at local matches relaying information which was used by 365 to provide live and accurate statistics to people who were betting in play.
I did this briefly in university - an insane level of responsibility on a single person with lots of opportunities to game the system. I think occasionally they had two of us at games, but not always.
My hunch is that no one has any idea how deep all of this is. There's a total lack of systems in place, from NZF, to regulators, even to the Police. There's gonna be a few Clayton Lewis' out there. Christ, plenty of players betting on their own games.
And it doesn't have to be as sinister as match fixing, but rather yellow cards, etc.
