Folks,

Sounds the like the Wellington team is doing pretty well this season.  They are at home at Bell Park this Sunday at 13:00 for anyone keen and who's hangover isn't life threatening...

Just an idea.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Is there an online schedule or anything for the NWL? I'm unable to make it this Sunday, but I'd be interested to go when I can.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

To be fair in your deprived state you'll probably hump Jenko the coach.

I never could get into Waikato/BOP merger teams like the Super 12 Chiefs and the NBC Magic, because even though I was cheering for the bay, I was also cheering for , to quote Hori Bop, "dirty scumbag Waikato"

Man, being a Steamers fan in 2004 was so much fun. I've still got the ticket stub from the shield defence against Waikato down here in Wellington

But yeah, I'm a Wellingtonian now, so GO CAPITAL!

Yeah I was going to go to that game too, but I had rowing so I couldn't   Went to Eden Park on a school trip shortly afterwards and the stains on the dressing room roof from the champagne were still there!

We're in the final after beating Waikato-BOP on penalties. Will do a news post shortly with the details to hopefully attract a bigger turnout to the final.

Kickoff for the final is 2:30 sorry  I know how disappointed you were to miss the semi-final (after you saw the girls on the Waikato-BOP team )

I'll find my way to a game of theirs sometime..........
I think I can swing that, just need to talk to the guy organising the gig, it's a long one so I've asked if my band can be done by 6.30 so I can make the Beckham game. Just need to ask if we can start after 5 or something.

So, is the Auckland team as young as the Waikato-BOP lot?

EDIT: And for the record, I was gutted that I didn't get a chance to talk to them. I could have comforted that injured girl, she was easy on the eyes.

Is Mossy single? Maybe he's been giving her "private" lessons.
I really shouldnt be so misogonisitc (sp?)

If they're good players I'll deffinately be there.

Maybe we should figure out some chants for the girls.

Misogynistic. And yes, you shouldn't be

They played great, they have some good athletes, so by all means it should be an entertaining match. These are Football Fernz after all.

Chants would be awesome, I wanted to start some up at the match today but it didn't feel right Hopefully we can get a few Feverites along to create some more atmosphere.

I saw most of the second half of the semi and extra-time and penalties were very entertaining. The BOP equaliser was a class finish - screamer in to the top corner from 25 yards out. The two standout Wellington players were Wendy Henderson and the number 17 (short dark hair, missed the name). They were committed in tackles and put power behind passes and shots. Some of the other Wellington girls were under hitting passes, giving the BOP keeper simple saves with weak efforts from range and missing simple tackles.

I would love to go and watch the final too, but they're playing it on a Saturday and I have Summer League football to look after. If anyone goes, post a wee match report for us,
