How has Gibson been for Suburbs? Good partner for Allan? Also talk that we'll pick up Kaltack who's being playing beside Allan at Wairarapa.

Pretty sure Kristian Gibson is going to Southern United although I can't understand why Tasman would let him leave. He's been great.

Guess not! It sounded nailed on but seems like he got a better offer.

His first game of the season will be his 100th NZFC game.

Callan Elliot back on board. Didn't see much of Wairarapa in CL but I saw him play schoolboy football for Waimea a couple of years ago (he was probably year 10) and saw him at George Campbell's academy as a kid and he always had a stupid amount of talent.

News in that Tasman have signed young Lyle Matthysen from Cashmere Tech as well. Fantastic young player, arguably the best in the league this year.

Justice is served.

Starting 11 taking shape all going to plan: Corey in goal in a 4-5-1. Daniel and Brian CB Skppy RB LB?? Midfield three Cam, Robbie and Cory Chettleburgh wingers Alex and Lyle and Kieron up top? Likes of Ifill, Callan, Matt tod-smith, Mark Johnson, Sam ayers on the bench.. Just thoughts? Sure there are probably a few other players I have missed too

You would think Tasman will sign new RB and LB. I think Cam Lindsay may even move into RB to accommodate a midfield three of Ridsdale, Chettleburgh and Pearson. Ifill surely starts to begin with, perhaps with Matthysen on the bench, along with Smith and a new signing up top. Tod-Smith and Matthysen are handy attackers to bring on second half, along with Skippy. Still would love to see Wright involved on the bench.

Yeah full backs are much needed! Any news on Sam Wilson? He back in the states?

I agree with Ifill probably more likely to start but I think we can all agree that he won't be playing a full 90 that often, to bring Lyle on would be a spark. Yes, add another goal scorer would give a bit of depth in the attacking third, preferably someone who has played in the league before. Wright would give a different type of attacking threat which could be used well. Guess Ifill and Wright would be the most experienced attacking duo in the league.

Matthyson confirmed, Luca Perico and Sammy Ayers re-signed.

3 key signings. Matthyson by all accounts has been outstanding for Tech, Luca was a key performer for Tasman last season, especially towards the end and Sam brings versatility and an experienced head in a reasonably young team. Very happy with all 3.

Matt Tod-Smith in there too

Chettleburgh and Kaltack announced, although neither of them were well kept secrets. Good to have some competition at CB, especially as Allan and Kaltack have an established combination. Corey will be a quality addition.

Overseas striker to come as well. Ifill's not gonna get a look in!

Some good competition for places now

All that means is one misses out on the match day squad, which is likely Lyle or Skippy at this stage, both who could get citizenship.

Squad near complete. Needs a back up goalkeeper and probably some right-back cover. No real starting RB in that squad.

Yeah not sure what is going on there, very surprised he hasn't been signed yet. He returned and played the end of the MPL season.

Youth squad named. No real surprises other than Nelson College's centre-backs George Franklin and Marco Whittington aren't there, presumably on their own terms as they didn't trial last year either.

Man, who do you leave out of the front three? Surely a temptation to drop Smith into midfield, but for who?

Yeah who knows? Ifill's minutes probably just got reduced drastically!

As a side note, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him filling in a fullback. He's got the quality to play there, he's physically more suited there than further forward now days and there's not a lot of depth there otherwise

Three at the back and play 3 - 5 - 2 with Lyle and Tino as wing backs.

I've been coached by Davor before, 3 at the back wasn't his style then but that may have changed
