Wonder if this will happen?
Auckland FC and Waitakere will play only each other for the whole season ..............
The other teams will play each other once or twice but it doesnt matter as no one cares.........
Then a combined team from the roundrobin will play Auckland or Waitakere for a chance to go to the club champs.....
If the combined team happens to win {tui Add}they will be disqualifed for upsetting NZF cause we havent any money..We will be replaced by  the team which didnt make the final
Auckland and Waitakere will both go to the club champs where hopefully they wont draw each other
Salary Caps will be as follows
Auckland FC 1 million
Waitakere FC 1 million
All other teams will have to scrimp and save and set road tolls on major roads leading into there citys
Any teams who dont want to continue in the NZFC please contact the Northland Rugby Union or Tasman Rugby Union for financial Advice

This years NZFC predictions...
1   Glyn Taylor will make another massive cock-up..
2  Waitak will cheat...
3   Watching and winding up Waikatos new coach will be much more fun than actually watching Waikato
4 Coverage will drop still further despite NZF hiring 37 new media liason officers and increasing all salaries to Sparc levels
5  Crowds will continue to disperse to what I dont even want to guess
6  No one will notice the disappearance of an entire franchise when their plane comes down somewhere in the Urewheras
Until a swedish tramper stumbles over the survivors...
7   Allegations of canabalism will be denied ...until footage from an airport security camera shows it was occuring in the departure lounge...( if Napier substitute "a nearby field")
8   Sepp Blatter will reassure Oceania that their position in FIFA is beyond secure, and rumours that he is selling the Russian Federation Navy the rights to use various fields as target zones is "totally without truth"
9  Large unexplained holes appear in several small island states, R Herbert confident of a draw against the Tongan 4th string side..

I still believe it will help the NZFC no end if the non-Auckland franchises can become more competitive. Just don't see how that will happen with the lack of resources available in the rest of the country and (as a result) the big two continually creaming everyone elses best players. Hopefully Wellington can continue with their relative success. Unfortunately Canterbury and Manawatu never managed to follow on from theirs.

Personally I like the NZFC concept and appreciate being able to see the best players in the country (outside of the Phoenix of course!!) playing on my back doorstep. It would be a shame to lose that even if YoungHeart Manawatu's last effort felt like the season from hell!!

We Still Love You Colin We Do!
