Out of all of the new players that have been brought into the nzfc who are gona be the ones that shine and the ones that flop? How well will Smith go at Hawkes Bay, and how will Steven Holloway do in Waikato? How will Brockie do on his return? Or will Auckland Citys new signing Ki-Hyung Lee be the stand out. Who are the new boys we should keep an eye on for the league?

Many of us have seen Ki-Hyung Lee, as he was trialling with the Phoenix pre-season.  Never quite made the grade.  Should do okay in the NZFC.

i saw ki hyung lee play a pre season game for the phoenix in masterton and he was very good.  i wouldn't say he didn't make the grade, more that he was only going to get one of the four import spots if one of the brazilians fell through.  should do very well for auckland where i understand he will be playing in midfield.

youngheart have signed some apparently good uruguayans, and Osea Vakatalesau should be good to watch...Hopefully Brockie turns good again, I wouldn't mind seeing him in the Nix next year!

Holloway played well for Waikato before moving to Auckland and no doubt will do it again.  Brockie will do alright too.

Holloway played for Melville before going to US College, DM.

Do you have him mixed up with someone else ?  Wilkinson, Tinkler, someone like that ?

I've heard some great things about Smith, I think he will be fantastic.  Not sure where I heard that from but it is sposed to be gospel.

In fact, this thread seems awful similar to another that was around a while back...

Is it just me, or are you guys really looking forward to this season. The quality seems to have made a big leap on last year, and with the Phoenix feelgood factor, not to mention the All Whites, I think this may be a good year for the NZFC.
A couple of points.
Will the Yellow Fever transfer some of that wonderful atmosphere to TW, bringing a touch of terrace culture to the league?
And will the fact that both Auckland clubs are playing at park grounds affect the turnouts in what is the best rivalry in the country, bar none.

Since I am a Waikato man, I cant wait to see Steven Holloway in action. I am hoping that he can combine well with Wilkinson. It was a shame last year that Wilkinson couldnt play for Waikato after he left Auckland because he is a technically gifted player and would have done wonders for the Waikato midfield. As long as he doesnt have another injury plagued season, this year could prove to be a big year for one of the NZFC's most promising midfielders. What are the Golden boot odds? I think that Holloway would be a good bet, with great odds!

Holloway and Wilkinson are going to be the starsky and hutch of the NZFC!

Hopefully Brockie plays well. hes a player with immense talent was maybe thrown into a big(ish) club 2 early. struggled with game time and when it came to the u20 world cup he missed a few sitters so hopefuli he picks up some form and gets some good goals and we see him in the nix next season.
