Shocker, but 9 out of the 30 in the squad are Australians, thats 1/3rd.

Is Lautoka a rich Fijian Club?

Never heard of them but having the numbers from 20-28 being all Australians, I don't think they were not raised in Fiji after being born in Australia. http://www.oceaniafootball.com/compdetails/nav/1535/post/110983AllWhitebelievr2009-10-16 21:51:32

Salesh Kumar is capped for Fiji and played for Auckland City.  He's not Australian.

Oostendoorp is an ex A-Leaguer and NSWPL player.

Good to see the Fijians upping the ante if that is what they are doing.

What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

So Lautoka's the team to keep an eye on in O-league. . . . any team that beat the Auckland teams got to be OK.

I'M surprised a lot more's not been made of Brent Fisher, Martin Bullock, even Christie turning up on Waitakere's team sheet.

Maybe everyone HAS been talking about it on here - but these are the type of things that should be unavoidable in footballing circles at least.

Looks like a lot (or, a bit) more quality across the league this year too...in terms of 'stepping it up'.

Magenta - Lonque (played for BASTIA)...ACFC - Gothard, Dickinson (Welsh League...Tranmere?), and SPOON of course.
Plus all the other 'island' internationals seemed to have concentrated around the other O-League clubs a bit better, so there could be a couple of tough fixtures (especially away) for the NZ sides!
