I'm eternally happy that I will be playing Futsal at the time so I won't feel guilt about not watching it.

Watiakere don't lack for talent on paper, they just need to put the talent on the field.

45 - Nicholsons having a 'mare. Gifted Waitakere their goal, then just now almost handed Allan Pearce a chance. Have to say he was all that kept the opposition in the final last year as well...

Good point... sorry Riki. There are a few out there I'd like to see carried off on a stretcher but Riki is close to the bottom of the list.

50 - Coombes (I think) breaks wide and knocks the ball across the retreating defending line and Urlo runs in to the gap between Danny and Suri and slots it.

Through someones legs (had the commentary off so I don't know who) and then deflects off Nutting and in. Raining at NHS now - not biblical proportions like that Knights vs Adelaide game in season one though.

From that game there isn't one player that showed they should play A League the quality of the game was laughable at some stages. Danny Hay rubbish, George Suri he looked at times out of dept in this game. There was alot of poor touches on that ball. I hope i see none of them playing A League unless they are playing for an Aussie team.

And why the F&*& did NZFC Final have to be played at That goddam massive stadium? ? Oi, New Zealand Soccer, quit holding these events in over sized stadia! It makes the game look really really pathetic.

Radio called it about 1500 at kick-off. It is conspicuously absent on the reports around the place.

It wasn't NZ Soccer's decision. It was Waitakere's. They were the home team, but Douglas Field is being pulled apart and a stand erected so they used NHS. Nothing to do with SNZ.

The last two finals were at Kiwitea St.

he should be banned for 6 months longer than whatever time it takes riki to get back to playing, that was was disgusting and for 14 yellow cards there should be fines imposed against the clubs for that

TVNZ have just shown nothing on the news other than the tackle. Not even the goals or any other match footage. Terrible reporting but also terrible by Menapi to leave that as the lasting memory of a great season.

Three was much more positive. Showed the goals, inteviewed Sykes and showed the Auckland boys going berserk in the changing rooms.

Yes I saw that afterwards. TVNZ showed about 10 minutes of yachting, which was cancelled, in which they have a vested interest. Appaling from our state broadcaster.

Thought Puna played ok - also Siggy and Pritch played pretty well - not to mention Liam Mulroonivich!!!

Yeah singing was good from the Auckland boys.

Were there Waitak fans there? I dont really go for them as such, but I lean as of george Suri, even though he played sh*te. Although that could be due to covering for Danny plodder Hay.

Also I have a problem with Waitak's set pieces, why did Auckland even bother marking the other places, get all ya men on Danny Hay 'cause thats the only place it went. Suprise suprise he converted 0 of the chances. Call me biased, but George Suri and other players are equally as good from set pieces and then it would be a tad more unpredictable.

Anyway, Auckland were the better team throughout the game, and deserved their win.
