Not sure how I feel about this. I feel like I've been violated, but in a good way..

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Great that ASB is putting real and much needed $$$ into football at all levels. But will this convince nz football and capital football to suckle on junior players levies? Probably not. Levies are like p to the addicts.

so if there are no player payments this year - then what is Mulligan doing at City? And any truth that City offered Clapham 20k and Canterbury countered with 25k?

They will offer them coaching role in some junior development course as payment.

Yeah, but they'd just sack Mully on day 89 of his trial period.

Semi professional and televised matches better be a long term goal for this league. Even if it was one game a week, or a highlights show like Grassroots footy. Seriously, if Murchison U13 can get a rugby game on sky sport then surely a league with two current all whites can too!

NZ media gives modest coverage to the domestic football league so I look for transfers here.

Thanks.
But then I can also watch at this site.
http://transfermarkt.de/en/nz-football-championship/startseite/wettbewerb_NZL1.html
I thought, that there are only extra site from the clubs, because the Homepages from the clubs have also not full information about currently squad and transfers.

Hi Klinge, good to see your interest in our national competition! Unfortunately the popularity of the league here is such that it does not get much media attention at all. So a lot of the off-season transfers don't get reported on in the local media. To find out, you'd probably have to get in contact with the managers of the respective teams.

Hi Klinge.
The nzfc or the newer version the ASB premiership has a regular season of just fourteen games then playoffs.
Off season transfers for most teams don't happen until September as most players are playing winter football.
Auckland City and Waitakere being semi pro do get involved in recruitment all year round. These two being club base identities than the franchise teams such as Canterbury and Otago etc.
Canterbury are having the first training run this coming Sunday.

Don't get fooled by the name either. I know "premiership" means a professional competition, but we only named it that to trick professional players into coming here and playing in it.

Thank you for the much informations.
I know the system of the ASB Premiership.
But i thought, that the Teams show their transfers of their websites like in Germany.
In Germany you can see Teams, they are played in league six or seven and they do this regulary.

They'll name the squads, possibly with ins and outs, but more closer to the date, not sure if the squads have even been named yet? Aaron Clapham (went to the FIFA World Cup, but didnt get on) today re-signed with Canterbury.Luis Garcia2010-09-20 20:38:28

Canterbury United have a training squad together which had the first get run last Sunday and will be training at least 3 times this week, some players still have MPL games tonight or next Saturday to complete the winter season.

Team will be announced at a function at Robbies Elmwood on the 18th October.

when does the new fancy ASB Premiership start? and are TW going to sell season passes? I basically go to most games so wouldn't mind paying a bit up front and save some money in the long run.
