Is it going to be one of those years where the tv bigwigs will totally disregard local footy....1st week nothing on TV3 (didnt see the rest but assume there was nothing)

What can we do? If footy is to get a shot in this country surely it would start here.....

There were low quality (like, editting the film between shot and goal, duh) highlights on World of Football (SS2 at 8:30) of 2 games (Waitak v Welly and H Bay v Canterbury). Might be all we're gonna get each week.

I suspect that will be the case for the season.  Even more reason to get to some live matches!

Mind you it does look pretty naff compared to the A League coverage and im not convinced that local tv coverage of games is going to help the sport grow ,from a casual viewers point its not got that much that grabs your interest , ok for the the  true connoisseurs maybe but its like all low level sports coverage pretty boring most of the time !   try watching   div 10 rugby from a field outside Whykickamoocow  with 3 spectators and a dog or Rottweiler rugby league in a suburb on the edge of Auckland!  I know its grass roots and all that but personally i reckon  its better to get yourself along to the game than watch  single fixed camera coverage  with rubbish commentary ! The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

having the results read out and shown on the screen. How long would that take - 10 seconds....

Not much to ask....It is the National League after all
