Is there any chance the NZFC will be televised in the future? I remember watching a highlights show a couple of years ago, why was this dropped?

College rugby is now televised live on the rugby channel. A couple of matches a weekend, but they said next year it's going to be much bigger with lots of games shown. Surely NZFC should be ahead of that.

The highlights show was sh*te and nobody watched it. Sky could show under 8s rugby and it would get a bigger audience than a NZFC show would. Sadly.
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Also likely that NZRU is subsidising the showing of college rugby.

I think the college rugby is a goer though, I would certainly watch Wellington College play if it was on tv. I think they are trying to make rugby like college football in the states.

How is the local tv channel in Welly?
CTV here in chch sponsored Canterbury United (Dragons) and always showed the home games delayed. Actually since switching from UHF to digital I've stopped watching CTV so not sure what the situation is now.

I think you will find it the otherway around the Dragons gave CTV money.... They stopped giving them money so the coverage stopped.
