Just nine days until Oceania's pinnacle club football competition starts (stop sniggering)

OCL have announced entry will be koha/contribution with proceeds going towards the UNICEF Cyclone Winston Relief fund. Some of it is on the weekend and during half term, so well worth a day out with the kids eh?

Still pissed off that they yanked it away from being (partly) held in Wellington.

I'm sure there is no coincidence that the group moved up to Auckland happened to contain a side from PNG.

For Auckland Football fans - Ellerslie AFC are hosting a warm up game against AS Tefana on the 5th of April at 7pm at Michaels Ave - in case you wanted a sneak peak at the Tahitian champions.

Less money though, which I think is the issue. Hold it all in one place, saves $.

Yeah, but it's not like the costs would have ballooned for OFC between announcing that Wellington would be a host and when they shifted it to Auckland. They would have known the costs when they awarded to to Welly.

The coverage in Fiji, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Australia will see FBC, VBTC, EMTV, SBC and SBS Australia carry each of the 21 matches live. In New Zealand Sky Sports will show all Auckland City FC and Team Wellington matches live, as well as the semi-finals and final.

Glad Australia gets better coverage than us.

Checked with them, all games will be live streamed in NZ apart from Team Wellington and Auckland City games which are on Sky. So people can still watch them through OFC YouTube account if they want.

Seen as 2 out of the 3 Groups do have PNG team maybe not.....

Or just maybe they arent as gullable as people seem to think and didnt fall for the home of football in NZ myth

Tefana far too good for Nadi in opening game, winning 6-1.  Fijian side very lucky to finish with as many as 10 men.  Did get to see one of the best ever own goals though - it's sure to make the next Minties ad (do they still do those?)

Nicolai Berry now at ACFC? Good player, good player. With Thomas and Cameron out, could be a roughie for the OFC squad?

All the games are live streaming here (official stream) apart from the Team Welly and Auck City games in NZ I guess:

Amicale of Vanuatu have a lot of Italians and South Americans again and an Italian coach (different to last year's).

Star striker is Diego Nadaya, an Argentinian journeyman who has appeared in the three top leagues in Argentina, Equador's top league, the Peruvian league, the Greek second tier. the Indian Super League and last year played in the Argentinian second tier.

And all that by the age of 26.

I'm unable to get to any more games, apart from the semi finals.

Thanks for reading, they've been fun. Except the Auckland game in the rain, queuing. Hated that.

That's quite random.

Top two stories are Tottenham beating Man U and Leicester winning.

Then Siggy's last game. Then TeeDubs.

Sigh.

Sad reflection of the state of the game in our country.

Stuff are covering every Auckland City and Team Welly game. The Tottenham and Leicester games both took place more recently than either of those two teams' OCL games, hence why they're at the top of various fotball sections. They are also of greater interest, which is sad in itself, but watcha gonna do.

So a draw between Hekari and TeeDubs tomorrow would put them both through. Should see about 900 completed passed between CBs

Draw means that TeeDubs play Auckland City though. Can't see TeeDubs going for anything other than the win.

Providing Auckland City beat Amicale, they should but they made hard work of beating Lae City Dwellers, both games look pretty interesting.
