ACFC's results this tournament:
2-2, 1-0, 5-0, 1-0.

Pirae have probably been the most impressive team this tournament, with results of 6-0, 5-1, 0-0 and 4-2 now in their semi. Should be a cracking game.
To be fair, Pirae had a much weaker group

17 yr Ukich with some lovely skill makes it 3-0. Later cooler kick off under lights no doubt helping ACFC.

Island commentator (not Seamus) talking about Ukich signing for an overseas club, and understand he's trialled for a Croatian club.

But hopefully he signs for Auckland FC so we can get a look at him in NZ in the pro ranks.

Edit - 4-0 ACFC. Howler from the Pirae keeper, Christian Gray with the free header.

Commentator must have read up on the forum re: Ukich 😉

Will see what my contact can dig up on the lad. If it is a move overseas, he's probably just counting down the days until he turns 18 next January before he can move abroad.

Interesting to see he has Thai heritage too. Quite the eclectic mix of nations he's eligible for if that's the case - New Zealand, Croatia & Thailand.

Congratulations to Auckland City on their win. Didn't get the close final we all seemed to be wanting, but they saved their best performance for last. Too much quality all over the park to get the job done against what I thought was a pretty lacklustre Tahitian outfit.

Bit of an easy final in the end. I thought it would be closer but I did see some defensive discipline issues from AS Pirae in their semi final so that was magnified with a better opponent like ACFC.

Stipe Ukich keeps getting goals in important matches (NZ play off to get here and the semi final as well) - great to see such composure in front of goal from such a young player.

Congrats Auckland City FC on OFC Champions League number 12.

I'm interested to see how this new Intercontinental Cup turns out, from the limited info I can find out so far, the format doesnt sound hugely exciting - but I'm happy to be proved wrong

Yeah, I know OFC is the weakest confederation, but it does seem unfair that the champion has to play away from home by default in all games.

Understand why OFC champion has to be in the playoff - but why not put home advantage on a rotating basis? Imagine a FIFA Intercontinental Cup match in Auckland or Welly every two years...
