Auckland United FC Secure Back-to-Back Titles at the OFC Women’s Champions League

Auckland United FC have retained their OFC Women’s Champions League title with a hard fought 1-0 win over Hekari Womens FC in the final at Stade Pater in Papeete.

The New Zealand champions scored the only goal of the game in the 26th minute through midfielder Danielle Canham and withstood plenty of pressure from the Papua New Guinea side in the second half but kept their composure in defence to secure the win.

Hekari sound like real battlers. I hope I get to see them play one day.
Definitely - in general wasn't impressed with some of the sides in this comp who were unsurprisingly quite a way behind, but Hekari wouldn't look out of place in the NZ National League (this is just an observation on quality, not suggesting it should be a thing). Auckland United did look fairly comfortable in both those games this tournament but Hekari still did well to keep it close.
