The draw has been confirmed for the OFC Women’s Champions League 2025 at the OFC Home of Football – Te Kahu o Kiwa, today in Auckland, New Zealand.

The competition, which will be hosted in May by Tahiti, will again see eight of the best women’s club sides in the region compete to be crowned champions of Oceania.

The winner will also qualify for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, as well as boost their chances of participating in the first-ever FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, to be held in 2028.

Group A sees Fiji’s Ba Womens FC drawn alongside Henderson Eels FC of the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu’s Penama Tigers FC and Tupapa Maraerenga FC from the Cook Islands.

Defending champions Auckland United from New Zealand headline Group B, which also includes host-nation team AS Pirae, Pansa of American Samoa and Hekari Womens FC from Papua New Guinea.

The action kicks off on May 4 in Papeete, with the final held on May 17.

Penama Tigers of Vanuatu have withdrawn from Group A. Meaning Ba, Henderson Eels, and Tupapa will have a three team group

Is there a women's equivalent to the Club World Cup / Intercontinental Cup?

Hard to see anything other than an Auckland United win, but fair play to Hekari for putting up much better opposition than the rest of the comp (and getting some other impressive results too)

Would have been interesting to see how this Auckland United team went if the played the Nix women this season.
I think they would have given them a run for there money. Especially considering the Nix goal scoring issues.
A lot of those players will be really hoping Auckland FC get a team in the A league next season.

Could be a great pre-season match-up, especially if AFC Women are due to launch. I’d pay to watch that.

Hekari coach needs a taller hat.

Auckland United FC Secure Back-to-Back Titles at the OFC Women’s Champions League

Auckland United FC have retained their OFC Women’s Champions League title with a hard fought 1-0 win over Hekari Womens FC in the final at Stade Pater in Papeete.

The New Zealand champions scored the only goal of the game in the 26th minute through midfielder Danielle Canham and withstood plenty of pressure from the Papua New Guinea side in the second half but kept their composure in defence to secure the win.

Hekari sound like real battlers. I hope I get to see them play one day.

Definitely - in general wasn't impressed with some of the sides in this comp who were unsurprisingly quite a way behind, but Hekari wouldn't look out of place in the NZ National League (this is just an observation on quality, not suggesting it should be a thing). Auckland United did look fairly comfortable in both those games this tournament but Hekari still did well to keep it close.

Wuhan Jiangda sound like tough opponents.

If I read the article correctly, this will be the only pathway for an OFC club to make it into the group stage of the CWC when it launches in 2028?
