Logic has it that somewhere in the midst of the ASB Premiership, there will be a bunch of future professional players

Who do you guys think can make the grade as a pro?

Hogg yes but I would say he has already 'left' the premiership.

I think that is Spoonley and Tamati were going to be pro's, they would have done so before now. Not knocking them cause Tamati has had a great year and Jacob got keeper of the round in the A League but these 2 are not exactly unknowns and both have been with the NZ pro club. I guess it's the question of will they go pro vs can they go pro. Yes they have the ability but not sure they will get there.

Don't forget Adam Thomas, I still reckon he's got what it takes

had a bit of back seat driver rage when watching the 'Nix with an Arsenal fan who kept on saying that Paston was shit, only ever played good at the world cup and that Spoonley was a much better keeper than he was. Grrr.

sure if you compare their last two games from the phoenix, but otherwise!!

He was obviously a goalkeeping expert to be saying such things so confidently?

My pick would be:

Ian Hogg

David Browne

Adam Thomas

and of course Clapham.

I understand TW's Chettleburg was once trialled by the Nix and dropped.

I'll take my chance because luck is on my side or something...

Oh Rio, Rio, hear them shout across the land..."

I'd would say Browne and Ryan Thomas are the players with a big chance due to there obvious ability but young age.. The rest are too old missed the boat

If Ricki is talking about signing a fullback in the January window what odds on it being Ian Hogg? I still wish the lad was still at ACFC but I think he deserves a professional contract.

I think Browne needs a couple of seasons at ASBP level to fill out. I was surprised when I met him in the ACFC clubhouse after the Manawatu game at how slight he was. A lot like Rojas when he was in the national league. One for the future.

Luke Rowe would be the standout TW player...well for me anyway
