Yes, after being thumped 8-0 it doesn't take Clough or Shankly to work that one out.
Nix, Leyton Orient and Alloa Athletic supporting schmuck.

....unless it's Hilda Clough and Vera Shankly!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

You cruel man Mr Watson . I was just beginning to recover from the trauma of that result. The Manawatu paper says it was only 6-0 so I feel much better now.

I guess we (YHM) aren't quite as far ahead of the other franchises in our pre-season preparations as our new coach thought (see the YoungHeart thread). This buildup is looking disturbingly similar to last season and we all know how that panned out.

It also says it was played at Newtown and not Harcourt, maybe the reporter missed the first 2 goals though I doubt he was even there.

Tw 2 nil at the half.  YHM had couple shots on goal, saved by the young TW keeper.  Other than that good balance from TW.  Second half 2 more goals early on and down hill from there for YHM with no real resistance finishing 8 nil.  Some real good strong shots on goal.

Someone told me it was along the lines of

Dont know who Goalie was, Sam Peters, Craig Alderdice, Jamie Farrington, Peter Howe, Eager, Sam Jenkins, Jeremy Brockie, Paul Whitmarsh, Luis Corralles and Sam Blackburn and they also said it was a complete mauling and could have been far worse than 8-0

Haha sorry, couldn't resist. I originally heard 7-0 myself, so there seems to be a fair bit of confusion. Either way, we won

PS Lemme know when you're next down here for the Nix, I'm pretty sure I owe you a drink
