I'd missed that Accy.  Congrats, that's a great win for your side.

How many of your lot are in Fiji ?

Now, now Buffy, when we used to sing Twenty-five bucks you're having a laugh at NHS, it was still $25 to get in.

It caused a bit of an uproar from memory.

Some people have no sense of humour...  I suspect I'd even blagged a free-ticket anyway.

Seriously though, for a side full of NZ youth (when they aren't in Fiji) that's a good result for Hawkes Bay, good on them.

Can't begrudge them a bit of a gloat...

Just having fun guys. The Bays last two games have shown that the Ferrarri I referred to at the start of the season ,is now starting to fire on all cylinders and not just 2. Still room for improvement though, but I think we will run out of games to make the play-offs.. Chad Coombes was a disgrace and dam lucky not to walk.I realise that if the JAFAs had their shooting boots on and we didn't, it might've been closer. Still firmly believe the best team ON THE DAY won.

Coombes was a real knob kockey.  The only thing more worse than him was some of the chants from the bay army.  They lacked humor and any kind of football IQ, the passion was unbelivable but to yell out to Grant Young " hey baldy you suck" or yelling racist taunts to Ki-Hung just showed the footballing backround of a couple of members.  In saying this I realise it was only two members that let the army down.  The rest were great as usual.  Coombes sux not Young

Grant Young > Jeremy Brockie

Brockie is in Fiji, and based on the selections for Fiji is back to being a midfielder, not a forward... so in this case Stuart Hogg > Grant Young.

Yes, I'm joking.

Gumboot.I would be 1 of the 2 and I strongly dispute that our chants were racist.Come and speak to me at the next home game and refresh my mind as to what you think we chanted.I find your comment above- quote;  "yelling racist taunts to Ki-Hung " aload of rubbish and serves to only raise the ire of someone from the PC brigade that may happen to read this.I know what was said and in no way could that be deemed racist.
Anyway, if you're there, you should be chanting with us-we've lost most of our group to varsity.

Football IQ..oh yeah coz you have loads havnt you gumboot?? I am a member of the bay army and fiercly dispute your claims of racism. How about getting your ears checked before you go around accusing people of stuff like that? Get your facts straight, i would love to hear exactly what you think was said to the player as i never recall any racist chanting from anyone else and I certainly did not.. I suspect you are just using the word racism as front for some pretty harmless comments not aimed directly at that player, sad really. As for your player being bald, we are entitled to have a laugh now and again without having your neccessary 'football IQ?' all the time. Take it from someone who has been to most grounds in the u.k as well as a season ticket holder at old trafford for 10 years, but then again, you wouldnt really know much about atmosphere at kiwitea st or croatian club would you.

"ki heung lee wherever you may be, you eat dogs in your country but it could be worse you could be scouse, eating rats in your council house" if 75,000 people sing that to ji sung park at old trafford they must all be racist too...damn this country for its pc'ness

let's just leave it for the clubs to sort out, if they've got a problem with fan behaviour

the 'verbal ping pong thats gone on' is unlikely to reach any kind of sensible conclusion

I was at the game and not too far from the Hawkes Bay guys with the drum and dodgy A/S shirt.
Never heard any racist stuff (though one of the guys I was with reckoned he did).
Must admit to being embarrassed on HB supporters behalf to hear chants about Grant Young (Happy Birthday to Youngie today BTW) lack of appreciation for a great player.
Pretty gutted to have driven for 10 hrs or so on the day to see a lacklustre performance from our lot.
Hawkes Bay showed heaps of passion and deserved to win, no doubt.
Well done!

BTW You should really try and get someone with journalistic ability to do the NZFC updates, the guy Bidwell writes like a retarded yokel

Well done Hawkes Bay, it gives the rest of our teams something to aim for. Its about time one of us rolled one of the big two.

How close were you the week before against Ytak?

It's not exactly racist, just a little questionable, as it's well known that dog is eaten in Korea... (and I'll put any money the number singing it at OT is nowhere near 75,000, just ask Roy Keane) Of course, it's not particularly amusing, and the scouse reference doesn't really have much to do with a game between Auckland and Hawkes Bay.

Oh, and I wouldn't be trying to pick a fight based on the vocal support at Auckland City, it's not one you can win.

Anyway, that's the last word on it.

Any more and I delete the thread.  I can't be arsed with it.

Okay ?  Good, glad we agree.

Agree Hawke's Bay deserved there win would disagree with playing us off the park though
we had all the ball but did FA with it.
I imagine the reason we didnt have more supporters down there was the 5pm on a sunday kick off i hate Tom Jones
have never seen any "Bay Army" in Auckland mind you!!
as for the "Racist Comments"  i didnt hear any from the "Bay Army" (does 6 people count as an army?)
sadly though i did hear several  comments form the referees marquee that were very questionable!
But this isnt the 1st time this has happened when i have visited Park Island for ACFC games
a blot on an otherwise great club

I thought we were worth a point vs Waitakeri, but if you had to give the victory to 1 team, Waitakeri were technically superior. Having said that,You could see that  HBU were ' running into form' on that effort.
