By now many Soccer Talk subscribers would have recieved a note offering them a partial (creditor standard) refund for the unfulfilled subscriptions.
I just want to encourage YF members to help the founders of
Soccer Talk out and not cash in the offer.
These people have really put their necks out trying to promote
the sport here in New Zealand, at great cost to themselves.
This is just my view, as a fan of all New Zealand football
publications that have lived a life too short....

Totally agree!
I wish Glen Price all the best with his future projects
too!
Shame Soccertalk is no more because I thought it became a
great read! Pity the 'silent investor' pulled out because it was
getting better and better!

Yeah I miss it already, its a pity that someone involved with the
Phoenix (looking towards Mr.Seripisos) or YF couldn't become
involved and relaunch it.

I wrote an article in the Auckland City FC v Waitakere United
programme two weeks ago mentioning Glen Price and Soccer Talk. He's
been left with one hell of a debt by all accounts and will take
some time to recover financially, let alone mentally. Good on those
who donate their refund to Glen. I don't know the exact figures
debt-wise that he has to deal with but I hope he can recover and
get some enjoyment from attending games without having too many bad
feelings about the general lack of support he received. There is a
possibility of another publication coming out in the near future
and it would be good to finally see footballing supporters get
behind it and support it. We have a poor record at supporting the
game locally. The Kingz/Knights debacle suffered from lack of
support, there was only 250 to 300 tops at Oceania Champions
Waikakere United's home game v Manawatu last Saturday at Fred
Taylor Park, 2500 at the All Whites game v Vanuatu...and you could
just go on and on with examples of lack of support.
