Northern all the chances, no goals. Braes no chances, no goals.

Nothing wrong with the Northern back 4 and midfield.

Big Joe given the first red of the season for some chat.

why does it always go quiet on here when Roslyn lose?
Permalink Permalink

Yeah wtf happened to my team? Post match analysis please. We know Burgess is good but I didn't expect him to put 3 past Pete on the opening day. Gonna be a long miserable season based on the margin of that defeat. And to those that were at the Cally - what was the Varsity Cavvy game like? Good win to Cavvy it seems - and I read Ridden scored.

Is see the OU awards were announced in Rab's programme

https://www.soccerotago.co.nz/SocProgs2011/2FPLweb.pdf

Player of the Year Tristan Prattley

Players Player of the Year Matt Joy

Most Consistent Harley Rodeka

Young Player of the Year Joel Stevens

All worthy winners.

Although my choice for young player would be Sam Mepham

Thoughts on a fans player of the year?

My vote goes to Ant Hancock

Well said Yeovil - as perceptive as usual. Grats to Tristan, big Matty and Joel you have represented OU well. For me, in all honesty, Sam is just not young enough to be young player of the year - he must be 20/21 now.

Ferg having a rest for a couple of weeks to get over a long season
Mosgiel not pinning there hopes on anyone
Ferg should go to where he feels happiest, always the best way to get the most out of any player

why hasn't he signed with a club yet? is he after money? looks like it

For you Southerners there is and interesting on the BBC Football website

About a goalkeeper who played for 25 clubs in 13 countries, including Otago United

One "Lutz Pfannenstiel"

Your opinions.....no good at this cut and paste sh*t so you will have to hunt it out youselves.
Just above the gossip column on the home page

Yeah he played for Tech in 2002 and for a few seasons after that. And then a few seasons for Otago as well. I thought he was a great keeper; big lad and quite imposing, but a bit mad as all the good keepers are.

can't think of too many imports that were better than Lutz

some lopsided fixtures this weekend, the top three should win but i'm going to back Green Island to get a draw with Roslyn, there's a bit of pressure on Roslyn to get a result after last week.Gooner Power2012-04-04 12:53:18

I'd be seriously surprised of Nthn v Tech isn't moved there. No posts, no lines, cricket pitch area still in awful condition at the Gardens.

Remarkable he got game time with the first team - albeit 6 min + injury time, but whatever it's a fantastic achievement for one so young. I hope he kicks on. Wood has done well but seems to be going through a difficult patch. Smith was in the wilderness but has made a comeback. Lindsay was doing well but now can't even get a game for the Phoenix. It's so fickle this game we love. I can't even get a game for the Redsox first team even though I reckon I'm good enough still - they call it youth development and fair enough.

Why not use Prospect Park, if the Gardens aren't available?

"I can't even get a game for the Redsox first team"

you must be some player if you can't make their first team, that's if you're actually currently in Palmy, i get the feeling you're not

I'm pro the Cale, the game should have been there in the first place. I just think that if it's ok to use the Gardens its ok to play at Prospect.

You have probably seen me play back in the day..I was an OK player. The Redsox don't want me because I'm old now - the trusty right peg can still knock a decent ball, but I'm a bit adverse to running around. And Gooner if you post your address up I'll send you a postcard franked from the Palmy CPO.
