1.20 A protest shall be made within seven (7) days of the breach by forwarding a written
statement to the Federation on the club’s letterhead, signed by the club secretary or
President, setting out the grounds for the protest and clearly identifying the club, the
name of the persons involved and the reason of the protest.
1.93 Any Club found guilty of fielding an ineligible Player for whatever reason due to either;
1.93.1 The receipt of a protest as per Regulation 7;
1.93.2 Being brought to the attention of the Competitions Manager by a referee’s
misconduct or incident report;
1.93.3 In the event of the Competitions Manager performing duties as part of their
normal operations.
Shall be subject to the penalties in accordance with the NZF Disciplinary Code.
NZF Disciplinary Code : 34.1 If a person takes part in an Official Match despite being ineligible, their team will be sanctioned
by forfeiting the match and paying a minimum fine of $25.
So, West End AFC must make a written statement to Football South (signed with all the appropriate bits), protesting that Mosgiel AFC have fielded an ineligible player (Lewis Wall). If this is done, and said player was ineligible (which he is), Football South have no alternative but to sanction Mosgiel by way of forfeiting that match and sending West End through to play Roslyn on the 15th June. I have no idea if such an action has already been taken, but the deadline to get it in by is tomorrow, otherwise Mosgiel will be free to play on in the competition.
