I find it poor from University having to field a woman in a men's second division game. But give her credit, she was bagged a goal and from what I hear it was a good one to. If she's willing to play men's football and university are willing to field her then best of luck to her. I would be playing against her as I would any other player on that pitch, tough and aggressive with the odd studs up. Obviously you wouldn't have a men's grade player playing in the women's competition so I do understand why people are upset how they can play.
Seriously if a women has scored in a Fletchers Cup game what does it tell you about the standard of that league? Sorry females of the game.
In league news...
The mighty trains win streak has come to a holt. All credit to Tim Horners boys they were playing some good football but have stumbled up against a strong Dunedin Tech side who are gaining some momentum now after a slow start. Once again it looks like it will be a two horse race between Caversham and Dunedin Technical with University in the shadows but once again will bow out.
With Southern United just around the corner, who are some names that are in contention from Dunedin clubs and even out of town?
